In such a terrible time of my own as well, it does the heart good to know that there is a companion that I can thoroughly rely on.
Since you have proven this and I certainly hope I have proven the same with the enchantment fix...
Perhaps you could offer advice on present frustrations?

Of course Professor, it was the least I could do. Indeed, your work on the requested enchantment - and your excellent company - has more than proven the same.
My advice? Remind them that they are your slave, and them belonging to you is not an invitation for emotion beyond loyal subservience. Anything further is unbecoming of her status and so reflects poorly on you. I recommend discipline, and that you are not lenient with it."

As I'm certain your work on thaumatology theories are quite an exquisite work and unparalleled with a sharp intellect such as yours.
Ah well, trouble arises it seems, then. Perhaps I'm not as well handled for enslavement as I thought I would be. Our contract certainly is very lenient, after all.
You speak discipline so easily but I'm uncertain how to administer it. After all, I do not do physical punishments.
What are you suggestions for the discipline, then?

-about your methods. I would encourage physical discipline - within reason - but if you insist otherwise than the solution seems rather obvious. Do not discipline physically but mentally. With patience, a deft touch and persistence you might find it surprising just how easy it is to warp another to your whims. In fact this is my preferred method when, on rare occasion, I've a slave in my charge."

And what good does physical discipline do, Salem? Does it smother out the love they hold for me? It would certainly dim the respect they obviously have in high regards towards me. Or they wouldn't love me. I would rather not lose that respect I've earned....
No I quite think the mental approach is far better. And what better way to mentally destroy them and realign their thinking proper, then to have them believe I've left them into Lady Shanantinas hands instead? I like her clever methods, but her barbaraic ways of teaching them proper concerns me, still. As long as they aren't permanently damaged...I'm sure they'll once more appreciate my ownership over hers and will certainly adhere to what I need them to do from here on out.
I'll leave it into her hands for now."
