Powers

● Shadow Play
Haemon moves and changes the shadows around him.

● Shroud of Night
Haemon blankets an area in a cloud of unnatural shadow that obscures light, sound, and heat.

● Arms of the Abyss
Haemon summons and commands black tentacles from the shadows to assist him.

● Nightshades
Haemon temporarily creates an object made of shadow.

● Tenebrous Form
Haemon transforms into pure shadow that can only be harmed by fire, sunlight, or magic.

Advantages

● Into the Abyss
"And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you." A slippery mind and iron will have merged into something frightful and dark in Haemon. He may roll a 1d3 to potentially shrug off the effects of mind-altering Disciplines while holding someone's gaze, and may even reflect the effects back at them (1 - no effect, 2 - resist, 3 - reflect). This does not extend to Disciplines which affect emotions, such as Presence. Derived from the Iron Will Merit.

● Charm Offensive
Haemon is capable of being genuinely charming, when he puts in the effort. He receives a +1 modifier to Charisma when attempting to sway someone through flattery or flirtation.

● Bait & Switch
Haemon looks good, and he knows it. He leverages this to divert attention from his abrasive personality, receiving a +1 to Presentation (somewhat perversely) when at his most inconsiderate.

Disadvantages

● Clan Weakness (Lasombra)
As a Lasombra, Haemon produces no reflection. Not only this, but he cannot in photographs or on film. Electronics of all kinds struggle to detect his presence, making it nearly impossible to engage in basic modern tasks such as using a smart phone or an automatic gate. Even animals have difficulty parsing his scent, making them wary in his presence.

● Clan Compulsion (Lasombra)
Haemon's pride makes him almost entirely unable to tolerate failure. He will take increasingly extreme measures to correct a failure once it has occurred, and may face the risk of a Frenzy the more attempts he makes without success. The next action he fails after the first causes all rolls to receive a penalty until he succeeds.

Oddly, Lasombra experience two compulsions. The latter is an inexorable pull toward the sea, perhaps as a reflection of the Abyss.

● Obtenebration's Mark
Frequent dabblers in Obtenebration experience certain side effects, and Haemon is no exception. Though it often goes unnoticed, the colour of his eyes is an unsettling, unnatural vantablack. The irises reflect no light, in contrast to the sclera. In some instances, this might out him for what he is, or at least cause others to experience an instinctive mistrust toward him. Furthermore, he is at risk of more dramatic effects.

● Apathetic Dilettante
Over the years, largely out of boredom, Haemon has studied many subjects. When speaking on such subjects, his focus will tend to drift. In such instances, he suffers a -1 to Alertness.

● Self Destructive
Haemon is drawn toward things and situations that challenge his safety, sometimes subconsciously, sometimes intentionally. The more unwise it seems to pursue something, the more likely he is to do just that. He suffers a -1 to Dodge when in the presence of something he's attracted to in this way. (Currently: Aelle/Vaeus, Alde).
