      "Hello... Esther? Hi... a friend from Florida who is a former cop told me about a murder of a young lady that had too easily slipped into the cold case box. He didn't feel too good about it so when he did some work for me here in Los Angeles, he said that her sister Esther was the one asking the questions about progress on the case and was put off by the department. He left the case file on my desk when he left L.A.

      It took awhile to track you down, and I hope I got the right Esther with this call. I wanted to let you know I was looking into this cold case on my own dime. If there is anything more you could tell me about it, feel free to call me.
