Lucio Youth

There is an old saying that the young should always listen to their elders for the wisdom that spills from their lips is more valuable than you could ever realize. This is far more true when concerning Lucio. So freely this man gives people advice on things that one might have only known if they were psychic or wise beyond their years. Those who listened when he spoke went on to become successful millionaires or even have their lives saved by following his advice. That does not go without saying he does not speak such premonitions very often.

When approached about his foresight, Lucio would deny the accusations one time and one time only. The second time he will show you why the assumptions surrounding his knowledge are false.

Lucio is much older than he appears. His history dating back to a time where giant creatures roamed the open plains known as dinosaurs, or maybe even before then. His earliest memory, as he only talked about the recollection one time, was of him rising from a pool of water. There was no need for his body to grow through the stages of childhood as it was already formed as a full adult. That was when the meteor struck. The ground beneath him rumbled violently only to explode around him in a violent eruption of molten rock and fire. All went black from there.

And he dreamed. Dreamed for years upon years, living the lives of many from a time not yet come. Humans and species of creatures were inter breeding across the galaxies. Colonies of humans and other creatures living in a pseudo sense of harmony as politicians waged war in blankets of stars leaving behind wreckages of the dead and so much more. He remembered this dream specifically as it were his first of many. Being able to look out a window and witness a star at such close proximity that a planet would be both burned and torn apart by the gravitational pull and the immense heat. Placing his hand on the glass, he felt how cool the inside ways, but then he woke up.

Having been face down in a river. Adrift for an unknown length of time before he was pulled ashore and captured by another humanoid specie. The confusion he felt was beyond explaining in mere words, but in having that one dream he felt himself much more intelligent than what he needed to be in order to survive in a hostile world such as this primordial age. Though he lacked the same layer of fur as those who pulled him ashore under the assumption he were food. He was quick to be able to reason with them, showing them how to make fire and preserving his life. At least for now.

After a few short years, Lucio continued to provide the creatures, later to be identified as humans, but their metamorphosis was to come many generations from the time he lived in currently. Unfortunately for Lucio, by providing too much to these prehistoric people, he was soon labelled a threat and burned alive. He could remember this day. The first day he learned the full extent of pain, but also a talent of his. His flesh, as it burned, it also healed. Rejuvenating as he was being burned alive which only prolonged his death. For days, he screamed and struggled in the pit they tossed him in.

The ropes that bound him had since burned away and he was trying his best to claw his way up the dirt walls. That was, until something eclipsed the sky as he looked up from the deep hole and then an unbearable weight. To silence his screaming, the tribe of people had dropped a heavy rock that crushed him alive but four days after remaining alight for they continued to feed the fires by tossing down leaves and sticks in frequent intervals.

Another dream. Like the first, he lived in a time far from the age of which he remembered last. But at least the pain was gone. In this dream, he absorbed as much information as possible, while to learning what it was that was happening to him. "Mmaannllaaa" when he tried to speak to ask anyone for help, he realized he had not taught his body how to speak. This dream lasted a long, long time. Aboard a craft later to be known as Hermes Eleven and that they were on a charted course for a distant star. The first extraterrestrial star to be visited by man. So he read. Stowing himself away from people and using Access Terminals when no one was around.

He had a knack for learning. His eyes darting over the words and sentences. Sentences and paragraphs, paragraphs
and pages and retaining every single word of it. Lucio made use of this dream. The age was 2682 AD, SD 0. A term he became familiar with as the intercom voice, later discovered to be Captain Doviac, was logging their journey. SD meaning Star Date. As the world began slipping away, something inside of him was telling him that he was waking up again. At least this time he was prepared.

But not as prepared as he thought he might be. Time and time again he lived and he died. Lapsing through time in both the dream world and the physical. Being burned alive, eaten by cannibals, died to the Black Plague and even persecuted as a Witch, but in turn, learned advanced medicine, technologies, electric and software engineering, economics and more. Every death came with a lesson and as much as he hated his lack of survival and application of his knowledge, he was grateful because he was able to utilize the dream state to access more and more information. The problem was, every dream state had a different date. 2582, 2391, 2227, 2190 and so on. He was traveling backwards through time in his dreams while traveling forward each time he died.

Perplexed at the thought he was living a dual life, he made sure that by the year 1401, when next he awoke. He would not die again.

Over the years. Lucio became wiser, understanding that books could only help him so much if he could not apply his lessons. And so he lived. And he continued to live. Fighting where necessary and fleeing when victory was beyond his reach. Due to his lack of aging, he made sure to keep his location moving every few years. Traveling across the oceans and discovering new lands even when the opportunity presented itself. Quite frankly he thought he was doing well, at least until the war of 1812. Stray musket fire hit him in the head. Lucio died again.

This time, however. His regeneration only took a few months. Waking up in a coffin, he had to dig himself out. Beside his grave were a trio of graverobbers who witnessed Lucio's rise from the dead, thus began the rumors of the dead coming back to life.

Lucio went on with his life, angry but enlightened. In his next dream he was greeted by a pond. The area around shrouded in mist to conceal what lie beyond. The pond spoke with him, filling him with information about himself. This was the dream in which he learned he was the embodiment of the Fountain of Youth. The meteor that struck just as he was birthed destroyed the crux that held the waters in place. Now, these restorative traits reside in Lucio's blood.

Lucio took to becoming a businessman while training himself in the combative arts he learned over the years each time he died for failing to learn the patterns and the tactics. When he sleeps, he dreams through the eyes of someone awake, but many years into their future. A good night's rest only came when he discovered drugs and alcohol. The roaring 20's were a beautiful time for him. Embedding himself further and further into the shady underbelly of one of the most popular cities known. THE Big Apple.

From here the only place to go was up. Drugs were a temporary fix and he used them like a patient would use medicine. They kept the dreams away and no matter how much he used, his cells seemed to heal faster than they could be destroyed by whatever poison he introduced himself to. Even going so far as to taking a huff of nerve gas that only made him feel dizzy for a few hours. But there was something that clicked in his mind.. sitting in an office with a bunch of city bankers as one of their most supportive investors by this point. Life for them was so... finite...

Pulling out a gun he executed each and every one of the bankers who attended the press conference that afternoon. Framing the scene as a mass suicide, he assimilated their assets after the police found that no relatives of the men killed could be found.

He became powerful. Too powerful as some might say in the corporate world. With fingers laced through the nervous system of the mob and the power to tilt the stock market any which way he so desired he peers over the city of modern day, wondering. Pondering the thoughts of a killer with the mindset of a business man.
