Bly

Nothing is what it seems, in the world of Bly Synbad. Reputable in her work as a field detective for the FBI, she lives an entirely different life outside of it. One that forces her hand to fight or flee - and she's done running. Bly is what's known as a 'resurrection hound'. Not to be confused with hell hounds, a resurrection hound is a hound of Heaven. A right-hand to an arch-angel. There aren't many in today's society, as most of them had fallen into the temptation of evil - corruption that bore into their souls and created a barrier between their holy duties and temptation curved by evil. Those fallen have become hell hounds. However, Bly defeated all odds when she fell into temptation, retaining her role as a resurrection hound and it's power, but she also gained the power of a hell hound. She can go between the two realms of holy and evil, which makes her a walking target. A rogue res-hound. These types of resurrection hounds are sought to be 'too' powerful, which in turn, makes them hunted by royal hounds. Royal hounds serve as the right hand of God, and the only time they're sent to Earth is to find and kill rogue hounds.

The one good thing about a rogue hound is that they can take the form of a human and hide in plain sight. They're not easily found when they don't want to be and this can cause a hunt to run stale, but never end. Royal hounds will not rest until their target is found and that could take centuries. Bly is the longest-living Rogue - having fallen almost 100 years ago, she's harnessed her abilities and powers, playing herself off as a simple werewolf to those who came to find she's not entirely human. The hound landed herself a job as a detective with the city's finest and shortly after that, the government recruited her for her fine work. Traveling the world, investigating a lot of cold cases that are now closed, thanks to her. But on the side, she hunts the even the most dangerous creatures that roam the cities and prey on the weak. One might think this would be enough to get in the good graces of God once more. But that conclusion is wrong.

Bly isn't evil by any means. She's just done questionable things that don't hold up to the heavenly council. Killing isn't something Resurrection Hounds are supposed to do outside of orders from their Arch Angel, but she's done plenty of that. But only those who deserved it. She once served for Michael and Gabriel. But after her falling from the line of grace, she was disowned and cast out. This causes a lot of abandonment issues, which prevents her from getting too close to people. She's closed herself off from close relationships with individuals. Having traveled many places around the world to evade the inevitable, she found a way to hide. She's done running. There's only so much someone of her kind can take before she snaps. She'll fight back, even if that means killing her own kind to sustain a life outside of running from it.
