Ezra Luciano

Ez is tall and well-built with a goatee and a long, dirty-blonde mullet that he loves. Since he’s Italian-American, his natural hair color is dark brown and he tans well.
He wears pink-tinted glasses but often wears one of his 47 pairs of sunglasses depending on what goes with his outfit that day. He wears lots of jewelry (but tones it down for work) which is often—his favorite color being gold— obnoxiously over-the-top and showy. To go with his incredibly extra jewelry, he wears loud, brightly-colored suits. Zoot suits are his favorite and he has quite the collection.



He also secretly loves to dress up in drag in the privacy of his own home. He has a vast collection of makeup and loves to spend hours dressing himself up like that and then lip-syncing to his favorite songs . Shoes are his favorite accessory and he has dozens of pairs of (mostly black, punk-rock) heels and long boots. Nobody has ever seen him like this except for his mother’s boyfriend (now ex boyfriend), Tom, when Ez was 16 years old and had only been secretly dressing in drag for a few years. Tom was furious when he saw his “soon-to-be (to Tom’s hopes) step-son” dressed like a woman and beat Ez very badly for it. Ezra’s mother never knew as he would get in fights all the time and would often come home all beat-up anyway. (His mother loves him and his brother very much and would never knowingly allow Tom to do that to him.) So now, Ez only dresses in drag in the comfort of his own home when nobody is around (besides the spirits that haunt him 24/7)





When he’s in the Spirit World, he’s much more grungy. He’s missing his left arm (replaced by a ghost-like phantom arm), an eye, a couple of toes, and has notches cut from his ears. He also has many scars from constantly getting into trouble with the authorities of the Spirit World and many violent phantoms and spirits. Since he’s considered to be the lowest class of being (human) that exists in the Spirit World, he doesn’t have the means to buy many clothes and just wears a grimy tank-top, cargo pants, and combat boots. He carries around a cross-body bag with his motto “don’t hate me cause I’m gorgeous” bedazzled onto it. He keeps a cleaver and other personal belongings in the bag.

So despite being a complete wreck and looking and often acting like a douche, Ezra does have a good heart (ok, that's subjective, but for the most part!). He loves his family (his brother Gabriel and his mother Maria) very much and tries to serve them the best he can. Gabriel ("Baby Brother") is his best friend and he's taken care of him ever since Gabriel was born. Their mother was in and out of the hospital when they were kids (cancer) and worked 2 full-time jobs to keep them in school so she wasn't as home as often as she would have liked to be, but Ezra was glad to help raise and support Gabriel. Ez got his first job at a restaurant cleaning dishes and doing general janitorial work when he was 14 so he could help pay for school for himself and his brother (Turns out that place was owned by the Mafia so that started a whole new chapter of trouble in his life but that's another story for another day). So despite his total douchey appearance, he's actually a very hard worker and when he cares for someone, he cares for them very deeply without condition. That doesn't mean he doesn't let those people down, but he tries his best to stay out of trouble (although he sucks at staying out of trouble) and be there for those who need him the most.
