Lights on, lights off. Flashlights, almost traumatizing him. That was his childhood. Being out in a fancy suit, having his hair disgustingly greasy while standing on the red carpet, showing a fake smile to all the paparazzis. That was how it was growing up with parents with a public job as politicians. Always making sure he seemed like the perfect boy; the perfect son. Silas could charm everyone with his smile and attitude, going viral for his cuteness, which made his parents even more popular in the medias. Using their own son to raise their own interest and get votes in elections. Of course, he never realized that till he got older. Silas was taught to catch every camera and how to smile with his crooked teeth that had barely even come forward. So the question is, did he ever like any of that? Absolutely not. Being forced to that way, forced to wear certain clothes, forced to always be happy whenever there was a camera nearby. He was an object to his own parents. Sure, the public never figured that out. Everything seemed to be perfect, they seemed to be the perfect family. Truth is, they were away most of the time and Silas was left with different nannies that were often fired for getting too close to one big family secret: his abusive father. All the lovely nicknames, every smile; it was all fake. At the end of the day, Silas has really been through some of the worst a child can do through. Whenever he was not perfect in their eyes, he would be punished. If he said a wrong word or didn’t tell him how much he loved them enough. Everything he did would be put to the test and it would define Silas’ destiny. He grew up where dumb questions in fact do exist and if they get asked, it can cause a red eye. Afraid of his own father, afraid of his own home. He even got afraid of himself, fearing that that was what he would turn into once he would grow up. To become his own father has always been the worst fear of his. Everyday was an act, and he had to pretend that he was living the perfect life. Once he reached puberty it really took a turn. His traumas letting him grow up on his own, finally stepping away from the spotlight once he turned 16. Searching for his own person, his own personality. Not the one he was forced to become. Not his abusive father, not his passive mother. No, he wanted to be Silas for once. It was always decided that he would become a politician himself, but the older he got, the more he got afraid of them. Afraid of being compared to his ass of a father. He finally understood the status his family possessed and learned what it meant for him as well. He would always be the child that charmed everyone when he was 5 years old, he could never escape his past, no matter how much he tried to stay away from the spotlight. 26 years old, and his mission failed. Turning into his worst fear, looking more and more like his father. Inheriting his big temper, breaking everything he touches. Staring into his eyes, you will see darkness, but more importantly; sadness and feelings. Feelings he never shows. Never had a real girlfriend, he always ends up breaking their hearts before they break his. Love is not really his thing; he has never known of it. Attracting broken people; they remind him of himself. Not trying to fix them, trying to find their solution. Silas can be quite charming, the ladies love him. Of course, he has no serious intentions, it’s just the sex and attention he craves. |
