HEAVY IS THE HEAD
THAT WEARS THE CROWN
It is unlikely you will ever meet this particular King, at least not while you still draw breath on the earth's gracious surface. Even then, meeting the eldest son of Cronos is rare. Those who spend the most time around him work for him, or share his blood. The god is deeply private, but he can be seen wandering his realm, sometimes accompanied by those who answer to him.

Appearance
The ruler of Hades is tall, his posture leaving nothing to be desired as he exudes power and command. It is common to see him in suits, but not out of the ordinary for the god to be seen in more traditional garb while within his kingdom. Unsurprisingly, he generally wears black, and only wears a crown while within Hades, on Olympus, or special occasions elsewhere that require it. His skin is light, but he has a natural warm tone, regardless of how little time he spends in the sun. There are typically a few rings on his hands, though they aren't always the same, they appear to be white gold or other silver-like substance. Hades' features are angular, sharp, and boast an intense resting bitch face. That's not to say he's never casual, and never smiles, but good luck catching either if you're not familiar with him beyond a passing by. It's hard to miss that the god's eyes are just as black as his pitch hair, but they will change colors in varying degrees of yellows and reds when he's angry, or using a good deal of power.
Personality
Outwardly, Hades is very cold, professional and curt. He's straight to the point, assertive, and offers no room for discussion. There is not much of a temper in the god, unlike his brother Zeus. If there is an argument or someone meets him with disrespect, he's more likely to respond calmly, even if he does ultimately come to violence. That's not to say he has zero temper, it's just harder to incite than that of other gods. Beyond the surface, Hades can be quite sarcastic and playful. It isn't surprising news that he has a dark sense of humor, but he does appreciate comedy. The god is a private individual, and personal details are a rare thing to cross his lips. You'll have better luck trying to decipher what's true from mythology than getting anything out of him. Privately, he's a good deal softer and surprisingly easy to get along with, given he's in the right company.

Romance
It's not a secret that he's married. Persephone was the object of affection, obsession, and love for a long time. However, none of the stories written are quite right. He was never a monster to her, but nor was she entirely willing in the way things happened leading up to their joining. Today, she holds her position as his Queen and Wife, but has made a bit of a cuck out of the king. Their dynamic is complicated at best, and he hates her just as deeply as he loves her. Hades seeks out lovers from time to time to exercise his personal demons and indulge in someone who doesn't come with the criticisms of his wife, who doesn't push his buttons and belittle him. Those lovers are met without discrimination of gender or race, he's even fallen into the arms of humans. Humans are less likely to have any idea who or what he is, and thus lack the barriers of fear and hesitation he's met with otherwise. Hades is passionate when given the opportunity, but seldom does he allow himself any closer to his lovers than the physical... it's too dangerous for everyone involved, nevermind his loneliness.
