Gilly Smith

Gilly grew up in Australia with his mum, dad and older brother, Sydney. Growing up he had quite a normal life, he was loved and cared for, he had plenty of friends and a brother who protected him no matter what.

Then on a horrid night in 2005, his parents got into a horrible car accident. His mother died instantly whereas his father ended up in hospital in critical condition. After a month in hospital, his father finally got released. He started drinking to keep the pain away which eventually led to becoming an alcoholic. He used Gilly as a punching bag, blaming him for his mothers death, telling him he should've been the one in the car not here. His brother Sydney was away at college so it was just Gilly and his father, alone in the house. Then as Gilly was in the shower getting ready for bed, his father showed up home drunk. Not really it was Gilly, he raped him in the shower completely drunk out of his mind.

After a few years, Gilly finally managed to earn enough money to move out and live with his brother. He suffers from PTSD and has extreme anxiety that he finds difficult to overcome. He works as a bartender at a local club and currently has enrolled in university to excel in his dream of becoming a writer/journalist.
