    People often avoid vampire hunters, as there is a perspective cast that they are also monsters themselves, the craft changing them into one. His reputation has grown beyond him - people speak of "The Black Hound" as a ruthless, rugged hunter who is so calculated and brooding that engagements with him only leads to trouble. Yet when people meet him and aren't afraid, he is generally rather kind - enjoying sarcastic humor, drinks, and even can be a "glimmer of light" in the dark, gloomy atmosphere of the European landscape. Yet, when questioned about vampires - information he keeps very close to himself, not talking much about what he does - he closes up very quickly. He doesn't want to doom people to know the knowledge he does of these beasts.

    He is still in his youth, and he enjoys flings with women (and men, though that is obviously unspoken), and the adrenaline rush achieved by pursuing and successfully hunting a vampire - even though one wrong move could end in his death, he continues to enjoy what he does.

    This character is meant to be played in the late 19th century, in the romantic period-victorian era. This is obviously a fantastical, magical version of this historical period and not everything is completely accurate to that time period.

    Also, another note, I am open to a gothic horror RP with this character, where romance can still be a focus/involvement but may more heavily feature gore, violence, and other darker topics.
