The Dal's complexion and undertone varies with lighting and temperature. These changed occur in a duration of 30 - 60 minutes. Warmer environments produce warmer -olive to red- undertones while cooler environments bring cooler -neutral to blue- undertones. During bright hours of the day, the dal has olive skin and in the dark hours, he is fair. The extremes of these changes solely depend on the intensity of light. This adaptable feat is yet another advantage that makes them suitable for travel.

All dal harbor four eyes and all have dreadful vision. Ephraim's appear as a milky blue and fade into a cloudy white towards the center. Some completely abandon their depleted visual utility by covering them, but this slanted-eyed dal prefers to keep them in use. He finds that interactions are far less laborious with eye contact than without. Though there is a blatant deficit in the amount of light he can see, he values brighter and saturated hues.

Ephraim stands at 218.4cm/7ft 2in. This is an average height for male dalen. Contrary to their towering stature, most dalen don't favor standing for long periods of time. Instead, they opt to sit on their heels with the completed balance of their tails. This bring them down between 91cm -122cm / 3ft - 4ft.

This dal weighs in at 157.4kg / 347lbs, exceeding the average male dalen of moderate muscle density. He can be quite the immovable object.

This dal's hair is a blanched lavender, sometimes mistaken for an airy pink in certain light. In younger cycles, short hair is custom for dalen until the filaments along their ears grow sensitive. Hairstyles cut away from the ears, often shaved to a buzz, portrays maturity.
ｂｕｉｌｄ
All dalen support two sets of arms and, in almost all cases, have substantial and robust legs. Ephraim's physique, after having undergone militant training, has an all-around strapping frame though it's often covered in loose opulent attire.

Ephraim is fourteen links old. One link equates to three human years, therefore making making the dal fourty-two years old by human standard. For dalen, however, Ephraim has only just arrived into adulthood. Life expectancy of dalen are between 32-35 links. As the phrase goes "To another link on your chain."
７ｔｈ ａｐｐｅｎｄａｎｇｅ
A dal's tail measures up to 146cm/4ft 7in. They are the thicker variety of many species and are surprisingly resilient. While most know to avoid touching, one would find the appendage to be weighty and not easily motile. They're often tucked underneath for crouching support and used to balance dalen on the steep cliffs of their home planet.

In additon to their practical use, the tail of a dal is also it's premordial channel of communication. Dal children will learn to speak through the hook -hidden in the flaps of skin at the base of the tail- long before using their tongue. A curved, partially hollowed horn is sheathed within the bundle at the end of the appendage where slit can be found. The horn, called an elb, taps, grazes, or vibrates against surfaces to do any of the following: verbal exchanges, bodily readings, and area surveillance.

A dal's elb is customarily pressed onto surfaces, though during extremely rare occurrences of combat, it will fully extend to reveal a sharp hook. A blow from this bone can be fatal merely due to force.

Flaps of skin surrounding an elb are immensely sensitive. They aren't to be touched by other dalen or otherwise.

Tripod like feet are the perfect adaption for their planet where elevation levels are extreme and flat surfaces are few and far between. Such an adaption is hardly suited for many places, therefore Ephraim wears specialized footwear to avoid eventual deformation to his feet or damage to his spine.Dalen are polyphonic, however that doesn't mean they're not entitled to their own voices. Dalen adorn bat-like ears lined with sensitive vibrissa. One can determine a dal's point of interest in how they swivel. Fiber-like hairs are grown towards adulthood and are able to detect vibrations by air.

These seemingly lackadaisical creatures can exasperate anyone with their lack of urgency. It's even earned them the nickname "limp". It can be argued, though, that this unhurried nature is linked to their physiology. It takes years of discipline for this tendency to change. Ephraim, while trained, still can't contend easily with crew members. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ As masters of diplomacy and acumen, they can talk themselves out of many situations. Dalen are remarkably nonconfrontational. They evade conflict like the plague. While not all dalen fall under this trait, it is very common. A dal's sharp premonition will have it gone long before a sensitive case can escalate. Needless to say, if they walk away from something, perhaps it's best to follow. Ephraim is no exception. His expeditions have him surrounded with those better qualified for strife. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ A bored dal is a motionless dal. Many will sit on their heels for hours and never move inch in that duration as if they are made of stone. If the horn of the tail is laid on its side, it can be assumed that the dal is sleeping (and don't they love to sleep). Contrarily, if it's pressed against a surface, the dal is in full awareness of its close vicinity.

▪︎▪︎▪︎ This dal can be observed as lawful neutral. His position is usually that of his client's unless it's glaringly evident that their disposition is immoral. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ Even with his trade being in communications, Ephraim is a quiet individual in his time away from work. It would seem he holds value for silence in every channel. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ He stares. One can defend him with the plea that he's almost absolutely blind, but he doesn't only use his eyes to see. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ Ephraim has extraordinary levels of empathy, however, he is frugal with it. It's not a desirable trait in his field of work. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ His politeness is often mistaken for flirtation. A dreadful mistake for some who may have developed sentiments. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ In moments of rumination, he creates a rhythm by tapping his fingers against his thumbs. This could be another language or a self-soothing gesture.
