Torres Moralka Rubiter

Upon being awakened by the Countess, or reborn as a vampire, Torres was beyond grateful as that meant that he could return to his tribe. Little did he know how impossible that was. Due to Countess 'saving' him, the man swore himself to her. To always protect and defend her at the cost of his newly given life. This was his life debt. Despite her warnings about how his tribe would react to seeing a newly resurrected Torres, the giant ignored her and made his way home. Why Countess did not stop him he would never know.

The man trekked all the way back to their temporary camp but could hear their blood from a mile away. Confused, Torres looked to Countess for an explanation before she explained what he was now. He understood the risk of being near his people and so kept his distance. It was absolute torture to be apart from the ones that he held dear but Torres would do anything to keep them safe. This went on for several years and Torres was able to watch his son's grow up into fine young hunters. He followed the tribe everywhere and the Countess followed him. Through migration patterns, on hunts, everywhere. There were a few times that Torres ended up stepping in to protect one or two of his previous tribe when things went south but a fateful day came where he had no choice but to reveal himself in order to protect his firstborn.

At first the boy was in shock upon seeing his supposedly dead father, but then that shock turned to joy. When he saw the fangs and the red eyes Torres had however, that joy turned into fear. Torres, still high from the bloodlust did not recognize his son as anything more than prey before slaughtering the young man like a lamb.

After realizing what he had done, Torres understood now what Countess had meant all those years ago. The guilt of his son's death by his hands still weighs on Torres to this very day. Upon coming to terms with the fact that he was the threat to his tribe, Torres reluctantly moved on with the Countess and began to travel with his savior as they explored new countries and brought new members into the clan.

In 1974, Rome, Italy, the clan had settled into their new lives and identities for the hundredth time and it was there that Torres met one Alessndro Martini. At first, Torres was offended by this young Italian kid that kept flirting with him and asking him out. Torres was straight! He had three previous wives in his human life and two sons! But why did he like checking this young blood out? Being offended turned into an annoyance, though it was only half-hearted. Torres was easily amused by this fietsy and stubborn Italian who couldn't take no for an answer and he began to feel things that Torres didn't understand not could explain. Like the ever growing attraction to Alessndro, or the way his heart began to beat faster when smelling the kid nearby. Torres was ashamed of his feelings towards the bit as they grew stronger with each passing day, but eventually he agreed to go out with Alessndro and the two started dating.

He wanted things to remain private however, even if most of the clan was gay or bi-sexual, Torres had a very hard time learning to accept that about himself. But as time passed, people began to notice that nobody was aging and so the clan was preparing to leave. Alessndro one night begged Torres to take him along, that he didn't want to be parted with his lover and so Torres took it up with Countess. At first, she was weary about allowing a human to join them, but Torres put his foot down and said that if Alessndro couldn't come then he wouldn't be either. Despite not wanting to admit it, Torres was in love with this kid and was willing to break his life debt to Countess and leave those he noe considered to be family. Finally Countess agreed.

Alessndro was now an official member of the clan, despite the fact that he was human and Torres was overjoyed! Things were going well for them all, but one day after making love, Alessndro was worried about Torres still being able to love him when he was an old man. Despite his reassurances, Torres knew in his heart that if he wanted to remain by Alessndro's side than his Lessie would have to be turned.

Again, Torres had another talk with Countess but this time she didn't really seem to have a problem with Alessndro being turned. At this point, the human had been living with them for nearly six years and the clan saw him as one of their own.

Things went horribly wrong after Alessndro was turned and no matter how much Torres tried to fix it, his relationship just fell apart even more. Eventually things seemed to be getting better and one day Alessndro took Torres to a party, even managed to convince the shy man to have sex with him at the party. But this was all a trap...

Torres was deeply wounded afterwards and completely reverted into himself. He was devastated, heartbroken among other things. The clan began to see less and less of Torres and eventually the giant stopped feeding all together. He was looking for a way out and finally he found a way. The clan spent months recuperating their brother, father figure, their great protector; having to stop countless attempt's of Torres trying to take his own life.

After what seemed like an eternity, Torres finally found the will to live again. But he was not the same as before, the damage was done. You cannot regain what was lost and taken from you.
