    Kin is a shy person, although most of the time he doesn't feel anxious about talking to people, he just chooses not to. He's generally polite and quiet, and can come off as a little cold at first-- he doesn't mean to, but sometimes it just sort of happens as he tends to tune out others when he doesn't feel like talking. He has a realistic approach to the world, sometimes leaning towards pessimism. He tends to stutter when he's nervous or upset. He is very sensitive and emotionally vulnerable, and he cries easily, especially when it comes to being compared. He's nearly incapable of being aggressive, and usually just takes whatever's coming to him as long as it isn't something threatening someone else, despite his somewhat stony demeanor.

    Once he feels that he can trust a person, though, he can be incredibly kind. He'll try and awkwardly accommodate them any way he can, and is actually quite eager to show off his artwork. He's hesitant to ask for things.

    (Original setting: Timeless fantasy)

    Kin grew up in a household with just himself and his single mother, conceived by accident. He had trouble making friends, and mom didn't seem to like him that much either. She often got irritated at him when he tried showing her his drawings and stuff, but he still grew to love her. He still doesn't know why he cares about her at all.

    He tried making many gifts for his mother, and that was how he discovered that he had a knack for magic. He used practicing it as a bit of an escape, even building himself a little hideaway inside his own little realm. Even that failed to impress his mother and he ended up deciding to smother it most of the time and use it only when he was by himself. Being a lonely child and constantly ignored, he ended up developing some unhealthy coping mechanisms.

    Kin left his house nearly the minute he was able to pass magical exams with flying colors and take on an apprenticeship at the age of fourteen. He earned his official badge as a sorcerer in the next two years and set off traveling on his own. He wanted to see the world for himself.
