There is a popular legend amongst the natives of Iceland. According to them, during one of the worst storms in living memory, a Viking took his heavily pregnant wife to the summit of Hvannadalshnúkur so she could give birth to their child under the watch of the Mountain Goddess; Skaði. The legend then states that Skaði was so impressed by this act of bravery and devotion that she blessed the child with many gifts and bestowed upon it a destiny of greatness.

The child that was born atop Hvannadalshnúkur was Sølvi Nyström. After she was born, her parents took her back to their village and announced to the clan that the Goddess Skaði had blessed their daughter and that she was to be protected at all costs. Growing up, Sølvi was made aware of her important part in this world, and in a sense, it really robbed her of having a real childhood. Her father would make her spend her time trying to perfect her abilities.

Sølvi Nyström is a coin with many sides. It depends on her mood and how you interact with her as to what side of that coin you'll be faced with. Most of the time, she is a quick-witted and sarcastic woman who has no problems putting someone in their place. While she has the capability to be polite, she rarely uses it - instead preferring to be blunt and honest rather than sugarcoat things. Because of this, she has earned a reputation as a rather rude woman simply because people are "too sensitive", as she puts it.

She can also be rather hot-headed at times. She's not a patient or forgiving woman, so it's relatively easy to piss her off and get on her bad side. If this happens, she's not afraid to get in a scrap and show she means business. In general, she has the outlook of "if you want something done right, you'd better do it yourself". Most of her time is spent in the company of those who have earned her it, trying to avoid anyone that might risk pissing her off. But above all else, she is a loyal and fierce friend who would die for those she loves.

In terms of her appearance, Sølvi doesn't give a shit as to what anyone else thinks. She's going to wear what she feels comfortable in, whether it's deemed "appropriate" or not. More often than not, her outfits consist of dark colours such as black, green and brown with the odd tint of grey or bronze here or there. She's also rather prone to wearing leather and fur as she likes the way it looks and makes her feel. However, she only owns synthetic products and never real ones.


When it comes to makeup, Sølvi doesn't bother. She doesn't see the point of putting products on her face only to wipe it off a few hours later. The same can be said for her hair. She will leave it in its natural state, obviously brushing it to prevent knots from building up, but she never does anything special with it unless she is attending some kind of formal event where making an effort is expected. Other than that, she tends to keep her appearance very natural.
