Benjamin O'Dunnovere

Benjamin O'Dunnovere is a punk and a mechanic of the highest quality. The man is on the tall side of six feet, well-worn and muscled from a adulthood of trade labour, with a broad shouldered build, his hands are heavily calloused and thick, and his appearance strikes with a heavy mixture of First Nation and Irish-American features. His hair is long, raven black, sleek and hangs in curtains in his face, only disrupted by a few strands ever cast as fly-aways, refusing to be tamed for any period. He has eyes the brown of warm coffee. He dressed perpetually in a style that could be called Pacific-Northwestern Mechanic-Punk, with a heavy emphasis on graphic t-shirts, heavily modified leather jackets, workman's pants, and leather chaps and other hard wearing clothing styled out with trinkets, flare, patches, and chains.

Harper is a hulking monster of a Nightbane, themed off the Peryton of yore. He stands at eight and three quarters feet tall, broad of shoulder like his facade but also narrow of waist. It rarely stands at hull height, always slightly hunched due to it's elongated arms and heavily jointed legs.

His stag face is clothed in a skull-like, muddy silver facial marking, the eyes coated in a black sclera and the pupils a luminous white. His mouth filled with scything razor teeth, the most predominant of these being his upper and lower canines which curve outward from his face in a quartet of half crescents similar to some eastern demon visage. His shiny black antlers are threaded with lines of silver, their shape are gnarled and twisted, sweeping back into hundreds of thorn-laden prongs like the limbs of a dying tree. His face is covered in a pair of black leather straps that naturally fuse to his face, held in place by a quartet of sapphire-capped polished ivory studs at his jaw and temples.

His internal flesh is a soft, yielding black skin. Something of the composition of bodily saliva that coats this flesh holds the diffracted hues like water on an oil puddle. And from within the hollow of his throat, constantly issuing from the corners of his mouth by his fangs, is a silvery-blue vapor.

His neck is very long, making up a foot and the three-quarters of his height, flexible, and thick with power muscle. Much like a stag, this neck, along with chest and shoulders, is covered in a heavy mane of fur, russet red and edged in a stormy grey, speckled with tawny eye-rosettes like a predatory bird.. The rebellious mass of fur is ragged and misshapen, many finger length tendrils of fur and skin dangling from it's mass that only increase in size towards the chest and shoulders, till they become nearly the length of a forearm the dangles from him.

His body, once the mane has given way proper, is unnervingly obsidian black, slick as though freshly oiled, and shiny like an oil slick flesh that is free of blemish yet his torso marred by criss-crossing leather straps similar to those attached to his face, yet perforated with eyelets rimmed in steel and held in place with the same beautiful yet cruel studs seen on his face. This mass assuming the structure of some form of elegantly, spider-webbed harness, complete with steel rings where they converge. His body structure rippling with layer and layer of incredibly defined, sinuous muscle that lines his being.

His wings are huge, as expected of a creature so massive yet capable of flight, and incredibly similar to that of a hawk in structure. The feathers at the arms of the wings are the russet red like his fur, but soften along a gradient towards a midnight blue as it descends the flight feathers, spotted in black and silver alternating speckles, until the tips of the feathers are reached. It is there that the suddenly become oily black and slightly rubbery in texture. His tail feathers are also an oddity, a long curtain that descends off Harper's tail bone into a long curtain of broadened spear-like plumes whose tips trail on the ground behind him, flaring out into a fan of blades shapes when in flight.

His forearms are in the shape of a pair of hawk's talons, the hands thickened to include proper palms and twisted to enable an opposable thumb to remain. The black flesh of his body is scaled like bird flesh here, these scale's edges etched in the same silvery marking as his horns. His biceps are banded further with this theme of leather straps of his torso studded into his very flesh, three of them central to each bicep, dimpling the musculature. The talons at the end of each finger also this burnished silver.

The creature prowls on the legs of a cervine, the muscles powerfully set and yet slender, the skeletal structure double jointed and digitigrade, all the slenderness and power of a Stag in motion. His thighs are banded with more of those leather straps, six of them encircling in evenly spaced bands. The shins once more coated in the stormygrey fur similar to his mane, a huge billowing mass hanging from the back calf. The hooves razor sharp, wickedly pointed, and burnished silver like his claws.
