Kaida Mikiko

Kaida was the name earned by the girl the village knew to be at the center of every fight. This was often to the grief of her parents. Her father was a samurai who later became a fisherman after sustaining I juries that prevented him from fighting further. On days when he felt well enough, he taught his eager daughter the skills and techniques that had once made him a fearsome samurai. The village was thankful for his years of loyal protection, though they all were exasperated by the unruliness of his only child. He could never bring himself to scold the daughter he doted on so dearly though.

Her mother was quite alright with doing so in his place. As the village healer, she was always the one who patched up her daughter's opponents after a fight. Kaida, who was rather resistant to learning her mother's trade, was left to tend to her own wounds in hopes that doing so would teach her a lesson in humility and repentance. Unfortunately, they only taught her how to better care for herself after the injuries of a fight, and did nothing to dissuade her from fighting.
