Tretos Deyot Cre

For the majority of his life, Tretos had a privileged life. He grew up in one of the most wealthy families in his nation, Aldren, on the world of L'tcu. It wasn't until his Mid-teen years that he would experience tragic events that would shape his life for the rest of his years. His father was a retired soldier of their military. (Note:Firearms and advanced artillery do not exist in this world, nor do the nukes or atomic bombs) So his father's pension was enough alone to rack in enough to sustain their life with ease. His mother was a merchant with a great reputation on this vast country, known for selling extraordinary rare wares, bringing in high amounts of cash in short time. Though after his 15th Birthday, Tretos' life would change in a blink of an eye.

"The Bloody Harvest"

It was a normal day, in the town of Ulor, until late in the evening there was a sudden attack. At first it was thought to be nothing more than a simple bandit attack. But the attackers were more organized and skilled than the average marauder.

Stores, Inns, Homes, and Families were all destroyed and burned. It only took moments to destroy something that took years to build. And at the frontal of this assault was a masked man hiding under a cloak.

And his next target, was the capital of Aldren, Thira. Nobody had noticed, but he was after one individual family. The Cre's, he was told that the sole child of the couple would one day grow up and put a stop to his rule, right now he wanted to put a stop to that before his rule even began to help insure that his plans were not foiled.

"The Red Moon and the Masked Murderer"

When word had gotten out that one of the near by towns had fallen to this masked fiend, the guards took up arms and placed extra defenses around the walls. Such organized attacks on so many cities could only mean that they plan to eventually hit the capital. And as far as the reports showed, all the cities surrounding them had already fallen. The royal guard had hold up all the royal and upper-class citizens up in the palace.

Tretos was among them, being sheltered by his mother while his father stood firm at the front door. Dravik turned back at Amber, with grief in his eyes. "Listen, if anything happens, the moment you sense immediate danger, you run for the escape route with everyone else. Make sure Tretos gets out safe. I'll stay and try to hold them off." All Amber could manage was a nod, known to over-react, she was quivering from fear..though she was right to do so.

Soon the attackers had breached the walls, clearly more well-armed and trained than the pampered guards had ever been. It was a slaughter fest. It wasn't too long before they had made their way to the palace. With the sound of the attackers pounding at the door, Amber immediately rushed with Tretos, who was obviously concerned for his father, away from the action and down to the secret escape tunnel. But they had actually come in from the sides and cornered them before they got to far. Dravik intercepted them, sensing that something was off. He gave his family just enough time to leave, and the attacker just enough time so that Tretos could see his father get cut in two from the waist.

But unfortunately the bloodthirsty fiend caught up to them and his mother was forced into a corner. Tretos tried to go back to aid her but she yelled at him and cried for him to continue on. He dared not disobey mom, but the blood curdling screams of agony brought tears welling up inside his eyes as he made for his escape.

He barely made it out before the evil bastard was able to find him. Going in between the dressers of one of the rooms to find a secret passage. Apparently he was the first to make it. Or the only one.

*Inside the doors of the palace*

The current ruler of the capital graveled at the knees in front of the masked man with fear in his eyes. "Why??? Why are you doing this to my people?!?" Then the man took off the mask and let it fall to the floor. As the King realized who it was, his eyes widened with shock, he was petrified with fear. "N...no, It can't be. Xervos!?! but you were banished into the dark realm for an eternity!!" Xervos shot him a dark and evil grin. "Well, now I'm back, and I'm going to claim my rightful place as king. And there's nothing. You. Can. Do. To Stop Me."

At that moment, he grabbed his dagger and shoved it through the king's heart. "Now rest in peace you old bastard." He looked around and scolded his men. "Did I not say wait until I got hear to start killing them? I need to make sure a certain brat doesn't leave this place alive!!" He sighed irritated "Nevermind, just find the brat and bring him to me. I'll take joy in killing my brother's legacy."

Deadly strength from beyond the grave.

After running in the destroyed streets of the capital for what seemed like hours, looking for safety. He was caught by some of the rebels who was on the same team as Xervos. With orders to take the child back to him alive, they only knocked him around a few times, just to hear him scream in agony. After bringing him to Xervos, he was then held and bound until Xervos returned after killing the king. "Well well, if it isn't that annoying punk of a son my older brother brought into this pathetic world. Sorry about destroying your home, killing your parents, and wrecking your birthday, sport. But hey, at least Uncle Xervos is here to make it all better. So don't worry Tre, you're going to be reunited with your parents soon enough. Don't you worry."

As he said these words, Tretos was dumbfounded and baffled. An Uncle? When? How? This didn't make any sense. His parent's never mentioned he had an Uncle. He chose to ignore these words, with no evidence, there was no reason to believe his words were true, this evil bastard just wanted to fuck with his head. "I'm still going to kill you!" Tretos was enraged. He wanted to kill this man more than he wanted anything in the world. But in his current weak state, he couldn't even burn through the ropes that bound him with his spells. Still an apprentice, he was not yet close to even begin unlocking his untapped potential. With the way things were going, it seemed he never would have the chance. With those words, Xervos punched Tretos in the jaw and watched him spin across the floor, Tretos left disoriented from the power of his fist. He tried to think of a way out of this but nothing came to mind.

Then, by chance or deliberately, whatever was left of the military elite guard came together and distracted Xervos for as long as they could. Only for about 30 minutes. This was just enough time for one of the Soldiers to untie Tretos and point him into a secret passage way.

Unfortunately, it led into the graveyard. As he went deeper and deeper, he began to wonder just how big this graveyard was. He could still hear the terrifying screams of those who were trying to buy him time to get out alive. Then, silence fell. Everything began to sink in. His eyes teared up and he fell into a panic, Xervos was much more experienced than him. Xervos obviously knew this town inside and out if he was able to tell the men where they should look if they could find him the first time. Maybe all he said wasn't complete lies. How else would he know about the first secret exit. Could he know about the second? He looked around and from a distance, he saw a figure coming his way, he then panicked and began running recklessly over graves and tombstones, his eyes still watery. The fear of dying overtaking every fiber of his being. He didn't want to die, not like this, he wanted to live.

Then not too far off, he felt a strange presence, beckoning him closer, he felt like it could keep him safe, not knowing what this presence truly was. He sensed it from over this huge tombstone and he heard a voice just beyond the pile of dirt that had the person's body buried. "Child, if you wish to live, and become strong enough to destroy those who've wronged you, those who have brought pain and agony upon you, take me in and I will give you strength, unimaginable power beyond your wildest imagination. I will make you a KING!" The dark sinister voice sounded so comforting compared to everything that had happened so far, it's words felt warm to his thoughts, he'd be able to kill Xervos, he'd be able to take him down and re-build his city. These were his intentions.

"I cannot merge without your permission, the host must give consent to the contract of the binding between spirit and soul. Otherwise, I'd have already combined with what is left of your sane mind, and body." Trevos thought for a second..what would happen to him if he did accept this being into him, would he still be...himself? Or would he..no there was no time for this, he had to act no or he'd be dead. "Just do it!! I need to avenge my family!!! I need to kill him!! I want revenge!!" At that moment, there was a dark mist that slowly surrounded Tretos and the voice became stronger and stronger in his mind. "Good, I knew a smart boy if I ever saw one. But be warned, I'm hard to control." Then it began to laugh manically, Tretos questioned what he had done for a second, but then he felt all this power coursing through him. He didn't notice at the time, but the mist had sort of vanished and he was now cloaked darkness.

Xervos eventually walking passed the tombstone where he lay in wait. His arms now imbued with the dark energy of the spirit. He went in for the killing blow, right to the back of the neck, but Xervos was experienced and was able to dodge, with his strong sensory details, he was able to feel the wind shift from the movement of Tretos' hand. "Well, what did you do to yourself? Ya lil freak!" Tretos was pissed, and his anger only grew as he heard the arrogant voice of the man who slaughtered his people and his family. The darkness growing stronger around him. He seemed to have vanished, when in reality he used an ability called blink, that allowed him to jump through space for short distances. He did not have control, right now this was just pure instinct. He appeared right behind Xervos in a split second and barely gave him anytime to react before he shoved his hand and arm through his chest cavity, blood sprayed everywhere as Tretos lost control and completely slaughtered his Uncle. As he died, he somehow absorbed the last remaining traces of life energy from him and then the darkness slowly dissipated.

Tretos examined his arms and legs, feeling power running through his veins. A wicked smile crossed his lips as he walked back where he had ran from to slaughter every last one of those ignorant bastards who thought they could have their way with this country. Slowly, and painfully he'd kill them all. With this transformation, he gained many new abilities. Which he would have to learn how to unlock and be able to use at will and then eventually master. Though his immediate concern was taking back his country. All he cared about was rebuilding the capitol and making his race a great nation. Whether he decides to go with the fear factor, or the diplomatic approach is yet to be determined. But one thing is certain, Tretos' Core is being tainted, and he can either let everything happen and accept the darkness in his mind, or he can subdue it and become the master of the spirit that dwells in his soul.
