Talia Thretus

As with most Drow, Talia has the trademark dark gray skin that is almost black, the stark white hair, and the expressive blood red eyes. She tends to stand a bit taller than the average among her brethren, but that doesn’t really bother her. She has a skinny body with long limbs that tends to make her look a bit lanky. Her small round face makes her look young and naive though that is not the case when it comes to her. Her large round red eyes take up most of her face, followed by her small nose and her small, full lips. Her white hair is straight and usually worn long, though half of it is pulled up into a French braid that makes it’s way down the top of her head. It is a bit poofy usually and winds up with strands that are sticking out in various places. The rest of her white hair pools over her shoulders and cascades down to the small of her back.

The oddest thing about Talia is probably the way that she dresses. It is painfully obvious that the woman is a necromancer. Either that or she just has a strange love for bones. She wears a green dress that has been on her form for so long the poor thing is barely holding on. The top and bottom of the dress have long since separated, only being held together by a few threads from both sides that are clinging onto a red jewel that hangs about her navel. The rest of the tattered garment hangs loosely from her body, strands flapping free here and there. Though the dress itself used to be a halter, the straps have long broken and as such she has tied them to shoulder plates that have been made from animal rib cages that have been turned upside down so that the bones of the ribs jut up into the air. She wears bands made from vertebra around her forearms, and a pair of large, clawed skeletal hands can be found holding the fabric of her green skirt to her hips. Around her wrists are more bones, bands that fasten skeletal bones of hands over hers, making it look like she has skeleton fingers that move alongside hers. Her boots are extremely light weight, gray, and look almost like smoke with the way that they curl up her legs to end at her knees. Their soles are extremely thin, almost as if there isn’t even a sole to begin with.

Talia is a very kind person in general. She has yet to have a situation in which she loses her temper, even when it comes to her parents who only expressed disdain for the life that she has chosen. She is a firm believer of turning the other cheek and instead of reacting with anger she just continues on with kindness. She has a hunger for knowledge in all things necromancy and because of the fact that her chosen path of life deals with death most people fear her. She is not a scary individual though and really only uses her power to help others.

Since she hasn’t had much interactions with other people she tends to be rather odd. She has no concept of personal space and no question is off limits to her no matter what the context of the conversation might be. She speaks her mind at all times and has no qualms in letting other people know when spirits of the dead are hanging about. She tends to have full blown conversations out loud with these spirits no matter whose company she may be in, and this tends to put people on edge as well. She believes that most people are interested in the same things she is and so she may find herself talking about necromancy and death at length which is another thing that makes people uncomfortable.

Death Sight: Talia doesn’t have to use anything special to see the spirits of the dead. They seem to be drawn to her in a way and she is able to communicate with them even if no one else around her can see them.
Ceremonial Rites: She is well versed in different rituals that are used in necromancy. She can bind spirits to a place if she needs to get information from them or to keep them from hurting other people. She can call upon certain spirits to bring them into view, and she also has rituals that can cleanse a place completely of spirits.
Manifestation: Using a lot of her strength she can force a spirit to manifest itself so that others can see them as well.
Reanimation: Being a necromancer means that she can reanimate things that are dead. This is not always a good thing, especially if the creature was particularly strong and she cannot control it.
Mind Lock: Once something is reanimated, Talia can assert control over their mind, only if her will is stronger than theirs. She hates to use this skill as it is extremely draining on her and it also makes her mind connect with what she has reanimated and it is very uncomfortable.

Jeffrey is her undead familiar. When he was alive, Jeffrey was a beautiful Island Dragon. An Island Dragon is a creature that looks identical to a dimetrodon, a dinosaur from a forgotten time. They have long lizard bodies with thick tales, and large bony sails that rise up from their backs. Though the walk with all four legs, their bodies are relatively close to the ground. Island Dragons are excellent predators with an impeccable sense of smell, a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, and glands that are packed with flesh eating venom that works much like a Komodo dragon. Jeffrey had scales that were as black as obsidian and his frill reflected the light from the sun to emulate all the colors of the rainbow. They are about the size of a dog, though they tend to be extremely heavy when picked up.

Since he died and Talia reanimated him, some of Jeffrey had already started to rot away. Bits of flesh on his back have given way to show his muscles and some of the bones of his spine. A chunk from his neck is completely missing, only exposing the skeleton that was held inside. Though his scales are just as black they no longer have the same luster as they did when he had been alive, and he smells quite frankly like death.
