Casimir Lancaster

Amongst the intimidation of his narrowed ice blue eyes, Cas is usually an approachable person. The man had a job to do and there wasn't anything, or anyone, that would get in the way of it. So long as he got paid the right amount of coin, you were considered a client. Cas stood near six feet, and carried a tanned body that was physically toned to meet the demands of his occupation. Rough stubble decorated a squared jawline that was occasionally clenched loosely. Short, untamed hair that had a slight wave to it occasionally fell in his face, covering the facial scars that lived over his left eye, and traveling from cheek to cheek. Previous injuries to his left shoulder, chest, and back has stories of their own, occasionally reminding Cas that they were there when the weather changed. His usual expression was an unreadable sort, mostly stoic and unchanging. The perfect kind for his line of work.

Occasional dress included leather armors, a dress shirt and dark slacks, and tall leather boots. Colors of his wardrobe were typically muted, earthy toned, or jet black. The various materials never strayed far from cotton, linen, or leather. The leathers were often fashioned out of layers of bear hide. Typically, the bear hide protected him better than cheaper leathers. Anything Cas wore had to allow for swift movements. Only a couple of vendors could make such armor, and Cas kept them a secret. In return for their business, Cas made sure they were well paid. Finally, a long, leather hooded cloak would conceal a tool belt holstering a dagger and coin, while strapped to his back securely was a large broadsword. A small satchel was the only other thing strapped to his side. Cas traveled light. And except for his horse, he owned very little. That was intentional, of course. If and when Cas had to dress formally, fashions fit for a king would be chosen of more palatable colors and styles. Underneath the fabrics would be a concealed dagger. The man couldn't go anywhere unarmed.

When it came to fulfilling contracts, Cas switches to the persona "Blur" which is his Cheetah form. Blur is a cheetah who stands at six-foot-two, two hundred pounds, and heavily armored as his human form. Because of his lean cheetah body, it allows for increased speed and agility in combat. Plus - it kept his human form separate, keeping his alias a secret and unattached to the name "Casimir Lancaster". Casimir is basically the reception desk of his illicit business activity, and "Blur" -- a name picked for his speed -- was the actualization of tasks most people wouldn't dare getting caught doing themselves. Differences between his human and animal forms were very broad. Blur looked exactly like a cheetah, except he stood on two legs and had dexterous paws with apposable thumbs. Blur had copper orange eyes and a black mane that grew out slightly to mimic his human hairstyle, extending down to the back of his scruff. His long tail was white capped, and decorated with a golden bracelet that he would slip on after shifting, otherwise, it was worn around Cas's right wrist.

The man had two different personalities; one that focused on having a good time, and the other that went straight down to business. It was an effort to deflect people's suspicious thoughts about him. Outwardly, Cas is approachable as he isn't afraid of conversation. He is kind, and open to complimenting others. Cas may be quiet and not start off the conversation, but he can continue it. The man is hard to get to know in various areas, for various reasons, but he is otherwise pleasant. Cas's laugh is energetic, much like a warm hearth when he's honestly laughing.

There are things he likes to laugh about, interests he would indulge in, and fun to be had. Cas enjoyed food. Whether it was fried chicken, or fantastically made vegetarian dishes. The man was a foodie, and it was one way to his heart. Some of the things he found most fun were spars, tavern brawls, drinking, and finding a good woman. This more positive appearance in his personality is a sort of mask the wears to hide his true nature. The man was an asshole when he wanted to be both when he displayed his poker face and when he revealed his true nature.

The man has feelings, though he chooses when to display them. Sometimes, it's better to process it internally than to outwardly express your emotions without control. His training taught him that, of course. There are certain topics and situations that will pull at his heart strings, but his line of business and demeanor prevents him from allowing his emotions to affect him in a way that prevents him from responding to situations. However, when not talking business, Cas is pleasant to talk to.

But then -- you will notice that his personality switches business is discussed, and "Blur" must make an appearance.

Coin talks, especially if you had a lot of it. He isn't the type to approach first unless he's been called upon. His occupation of being a valuable courier and mercenary required the man to put self first, job second in most situations. Cas wasn't desperate for coin and had the freedom to choose who he served. Practically, you could pay the man to do whatever was needed to do as his ethics were typically flexible. Just don't violate his Creed. Cas is particular about obtaining new clients. Any courier knows not to throw his name out there. So in that regard, he has many birds to deliver the request for service to him. Some clients, who's practices make them out to be swindlers, would quickly find themselves trapped in the lion's den, and Cas is never forgiving. It was a rare occurrence because the man was so picky in what jobs he picked up.

Cas has a respect for life, but in the sense that his was the most important. Personality combined with being cold, cynical, and narcissistic makes the man an odd taste to get used to. Being true to his nature, Cas had little regards for anyone else so long as he completes the job. Cas is a man with patience, patience that had been learned over a long period of time. A hard lesson was taught to him regarding patience. Great things never came to him rushed, and it also left a messy residue. Structure was preferred to chaos, so all choices were thought out before acting upon. The man prided himself in his organizational skills, something that not most rogues could do effectively. Like any well thought out plans, there were backups to prepare for the unexpected. Between quick thinking, calculated movements, and a deadly disposition, Cas is more like a predator stalking its prey in the dark. Once the target was in its sights, it hardly gave up the pursuit.

In secret, Cas is surprisingly delicate. Whether that was with people, or possessions, it's practically anyone's guess really. Previous lessons taught much too often that being close to someone can hurt, possibly even kill. As a result, the man developed a preference in who he involved himself with. Although, when it comes to women, there are moments the man won't say no. While Cas wants to eventually settle down, Cas is polyamorous and preferred to remain unattached. Of course, there would always be the potential for that one lucky woman to get married to, but over the ten years he's been searching Cas has ultimately put it on the back burner. Not to mention he's been hurt a couple of times. Preferably, Cas would eventually like to settle down and get out of the courier and mercenary business, but it was a difficult field to leave.
