On a beautiful summer day, Arden Leon Tatham was born. He was born in New York City to Anne Tatham, a single mother, whose beauty outshined most. She had a sharp tongue and was known for her wits, even if she was nothing but a waitress at a local diner. This is where she first encountered Arden's father, Zeus, the king of Olympus, God of Thunder and the Sky itself. He was disguised as a sweet and sensible business man with a peculiar name who took a liking to the beautiful and bright waitress and as he became a regular, their relationship blossomed. She finally thought that she had found the one and when she got pregnant, she envisioned it all ― him going down on one knee, the big wedding she had always dreamed of, and a life lived happily ever after. With the pregnancy, though, the dream burst when he revealed that he was not what she thought he was. He was actually so much more, yet someone who could never make her dreams come true. When Arden was born, she was left alone. He was blessed, but doomed. Being left by the love of her life, as well as the mere side-effects of carrying a god's child, his mother quickly started to spiral out of control. He had no chance of knowing what would become of him as this happened from the moment he came out into the world. She loved him dearly, there was no doubt, but there was no way that she could ever take care of him and as he grew older, it only got worse.
The first years of Arden's life was filled with uncertainty. His mother's postpartum depression was much worse than anyone could have anticipated and even with the love for her small, golden son, she could not deal with the pressure that she had never anticipated. What started as not being able to get out of bed in the morning let to the first bottle of wine and it quickly spiralled out of control. Arden has very few fond memories of his mother, but he still clings to them and tries to sift out the bad ones that otherwise dominate. He knows that she loved him, even if it sometimes did not feel like it. At the age of 5, she blurted out who his father was in a drunken stage of utter sadness and abandonment, cursing him for leaving her with a son and nothing else. To begin with, he did not realise what it meant, being so young, but as he realised it, he was driven away from his mother. It was an uneasy feeling that guided him, as if something was to happen ― he even tried to warn his mother, but being unable to wake her, he went out to look for help and never saw her again.
He later learned how lucky he was, as fate would find him quickly. That night he did not make it far before he was found by Chiron himself, making him extremely lucky that no one else found him before the teacher himself. Living where he did ensured that he could be found, while his heritage played a part as well. He was brought to the Camp Half-Blood at such a young age that that became the primary part of his childhood, Chiron being the person he looked up to the most. He has a hard time remembering the times where he was unaware of his demigod status. It has been his entire life and he would honestly rather forget the first few years of his life. He tells himself that he has no wish to find out whether his mother is still alive or not, as his life is at the Camp. At the Camp, he found himself. Staring his training at a young age, he quickly proved to be the son of one of The Big Three. Not only did his strength and speed grow at a rapid pace, he showed immediate proficiency in the use of weaponry, swords especially, excelling in battle and at the obstacle courses, installing leadership in others, even showcasing strong abilities very early on. While he had everything against his father, he did enjoy the abilities that he had given him simply by being his father. He loved the sense of responsibility that he felt on his own, feeling like a big brother to many of the other kids at the camp, trying to be a good role model, while enjoying carrying a weapon and donning armour emphasising his strength and force. He has grown into a rather capable man, still staying at the Camp and enjoying the life that found him at the best time possible. -

Having or showing assurance and self-reliance. Arden's entire being is full of confidence. You can feel it as soon as you lay your eyes on him, he is sure in himself and the person that he is. He is so sure that it borders along being proud and not in the positive sense. He does feel that he is great, sometimes better than others, even if he might not say it directly. Mostly, though, he wants to lift others up and make them feel just an ounce of his confidence since he knows that that's more than enough for most people. It is truly a miracle that he doesn't come off as incredibly arrogant, but he doesn't. He can sometimes, definitely, but most of the time he is simply sure of himself and feels good about who he is.○ H O T - B L O O D E D

Easily excited, passionate. Arden's positive spirit often comes off as over the top and extremely excited. If he feels passionate about something, you will not be in doubt about it. This is also a nicer way of saying that he has an extreme temper, though. He easily gets worked up, both in a positive and in a negative sense. If you piss him off, you really piss him off, and you will know it. He can have a hard time controlling himself if he first gets angry. He has only felt wrath a few times, but he has felt it, which means that everyone around him has also felt it as there is no doubt about it when he first gets angry. He gets angry on the behalf of others, standing up for them when they cannot or won't, as his passion extends to his friends, making him incredibly protective of those close to him, those that he considers important to him.

Not easily restrained, impatient of control, advice, or suggestions. When Arden has made a choice, it is incredibly difficult for him to change his path or mind. He does not like taking orders, and while he can easily listen to others and loves to work in groups, he does not respond well to people telling him what to do. Then he's more likely to do the exact opposite. He also has a bad tendency to take on the responsibility himself, even when he doesn't have to. It's not that he believes that he can do better, but he wants to take the burden off of others. He also wants to act fast and efficient, but sometimes fast is not efficient at all. He cannot sit still, he has to have something to do, which sometimes means that he makes rash decisions, even if he knows that he should stop and think about it twice ― he just rarely does so.○ M A G N E T I C

There's something about him, about the way he smiles, his golden aura, the warmth of his personality, the sense of security he provides just by looking at you. He is someone you want to be around even if you don't know why. He is normally the centre of attention, it happens naturally. He is just born to be so and he luckily enjoys it. He likes being with people, he likes being on top of things and in control, and his magnetic being only makes it easier to do so. -

Arden is the son of Zeus, one of The Big Three, making him an extremely powerful demigod. He holds divine authority over the creatures of the sky as well as weather, having powers that are much greater than the children of nearly every other god, only rivalled by the other children of The Big Three. Besides the abilities inherited by his father, Arden possesses a few general "abilities" common to all demigods alike. One of them being ADHD due to his heightened senses and natural aptitude for battle, causing him to seem impulsive, restless, hyperactive, and hypersensitive in the eyes of humans, gaining him such a diagnosis. Another common trait is dyslexia, caused by the brain being hardwired for reading Ancient Greek instead of modern languages, making reading fluency, spelling, and reading comprehension very difficult. To him, it means that words have a tendency to bounce around and he easily mixes up certain Latin characters. He also possesses inborn supernatural battle reflexes and senses that he uses to analyse the fighting style of his opponent, as he can see where they will strike due to something as simple as the tensing of their muscles, he can also sense imminent danger, and his fighting skills are incredible, even before he started to train properly, being incredibly skilled with swords especially. Furthermore, he possesses superhuman strength that surpasses most other demigods even, the same goes for his superhuman speed. As an extra, general ability, Arden possesses intimidation, making him extremely scary in battle, emulating the fierce wrath of his father when angered.

Aerokinesis is the elemental ability to create, control, and manipulate the air and wind in a variety of offensive and defensive ways. This was one of the first abilities that Arden began to showcase, especially the ability to fly. It started as levitating and then slowly built up and it is something that he enjoys immensely. This also gives him the ability to manipulate, control, and create wind and air, such as air waves, air currents, air structures, air pressure, clouds, tornadoes, storms, and air bending all together. This, though, is more difficult and while he is rather capable of doing so, bigger tasks such as tornadoes and greater storms do take more concentration. He can also influence and control the minds of air and wind spirits. His control of aerokinesis also makes him have a minor degree of control of atmokinesis, the control of the weather.

Electrokinesis is the powerful ability to mentally and physically manipulate and control electric currents and static electricity and this is probably one of the abilities that Arden has the best control of. He can summon lightning, electricity, and even make a powerful static shock, sending it throughout another person's body on contact. He can electrify his dual swords in order to make them more effective, causing more damage than they already do. Arden can sense incoming lightning bolts, he can generate and discharge powerful electric bolts of energy, he can even utilise his control over static energy defensively, shielding himself in it. His most powerful ability, though, is the ability to summon lightning bolts from the heavens. This is much more draining than simply using static energy and he only uses it to practice or when the situation absolutely demands it. He can use his body to direct them, but he normally utilises his blades to do it. When angered, Arden emit golden static sparks that builds up the angrier he gets. He is also unaffected by other types of electrical blasts, at least resistant to them. He has yet to be hit by the lightning of Zeus, so he would not know the effect of that kind of power, but normal lightning does not affect him

As the son of Zeus, Arden can control things that belong to his father's domain, asking them to do his bidding. This can be creatures of the sky, gifts from Zeus or given to him. He can always sense if a creature belongs to his father's domain, as if it's a natural instinct of his.
| Mist Control |
Arden can manipulate the Mist, which essentially means that he can make things appear as he wants them to appear to the eyes of a mortal, a skill taught to him by Chiron. This is an ability he has limited control over though, as it is incredibly difficult. The control of illusions is something that he finds both interesting and intimidating, but he finds comfort in his other abilities.
