Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac. It lies between Libra to the west and Sagittarius to the east. It is a large constellation located in the southern hemisphere near the center of the Milky Way. In Greek mythology, the constellation Scorpius was identified with the scorpion that killed Orion, the mythical hunter. Scorpius was significantly larger and comprised of two halves, one with the scorpion's body and the sting, and one containing the claws. The latter was called Chelae, or 'claws' later turned into a separate constellation, Libra, the Scales. |

⎨CHARMS⎬
A charm, also known as an enchantment, is a spell that adds certain properties to an object or individual. Charms are distinguished from transfigurations in that a charm adds or changes properties of an object; it focuses on altering what the object does as opposed to what the object is. For example, the Colour Change Charm causes something to flash different colours; the Levitation Charm causes an object to levitate, the Cheering Charm improves upon a creature's mood.
⎨ASTRONOMY⎬
Astronomy is a core class and subject taught at Hogwarts and Uagadou School of Magic. Astronomy is the branch of magic and science that studies stars and the movement of planets. It is a subject where the use of practical magic and spells during lessons are not necessary. Astronomy lessons are spent learning the names of stars and the movements of planets. It is a required class from year one until year five, and becomes an optional subject for the final two years.
⎨MUGGLE MUSIC⎬
Muggle music is an extra-curricular subject taught at Hogwarts. The class is accessible only to third year students and above, and is taught by a male teacher. The subject is taken in the Music Classroom.
⎨APPARITION⎬
Apparition is a magical form of transportation, in which the user travels instantly from one location to another, without traversing the space in-between. This is accomplished by having the user focus on a desired location in their mind and then purposely disappearing from where they were, to reappear at the desired location. Apparition is by far the fastest way to get to a desired destination, but is tricky to pull off correctly and disastrous if botched. The ability to apparate was a relatively advanced skill for wizards.
⎨DHAMPIR⎬
A Dhampir is the child of a witch and a Vampire. They supposedly resemble a human but with subtle vampire traits such as mildly exaggerated fangs and pale skin. In Eloisa's case, her gray-blue eyes are considered one of her vampiric traits. Dhampirs share the attributes of both their parents, still being able to use magic, as the magic gene is dominant, while having traits of their non-human parent as well.In most cases, a dhampir has all the strengths that a normal vampire has without any of the weaknesses. Blood is still a factor in most cases, either they need to feed because they will die or they simply are weakened when they don't feed. Some dhampirs can subsist on either blood or human food. Whatever the case, just like with vampires, the quantity of blood a dhampir needs will vary greatly. Their resistance to sunlight varies as well; some may be weakened by it, while others are completely immune to its effects. Physically dhampirs are in top form, having the strengths of a vampire they are very strong, most do not age and others age very slowly. There are far less variations in appearance when it comes to dhampirs because of their human side. Most damphirs will look like normal humans, some will be extremely attractive but there are not many non-humanoid dhampirs out there. Unlike her half-brother's dominant vampire genes, Eloisa's vampire genes have been dormant for most of her life. She is immune to sunlight and can survive just fine on human food. Whether this will change cannot be known for sure, but there's a slight chance her genes will be activated one day. |
