  • Introduction

    From her ill-fated romance with her late assassin husband, Cris had three children: two girls, Chiara and Rosalba, and a boy, Reyn. The kids are also the main reason behind Count Aliprandi's agreement to take their family back into the Clan, as she was the only of his grandchildren to produce heirs that would someday carry on the family's name. Outwardly respected for their standing, they are the subject of quite some talks in high society because of their peculiar looks; all her children are, in fact, little anthropomorphic foxes. their appearance caused them some strife with other children, even if their parents tend to be subtle about it in order to not offend the Aliprandi Clan.

    Name: Chiara Damiana Aliprandi Della Scala Di Rocca Martinez

    Nickname: Yuki ("Snow" in Japanese).

    Gender: Female.

    Species: Arctic vixen anthro

    Heritage: Italian/Japanese.

    Title: Young Lady Aliprandi (future Heir Heritage).

    Appearance: Chiara is a humanoid arctic vixen. She has a little pointy snoot and fluffy triangular ears, crowning two large, curious race-car red eyes which are very sensitive to light (even if she's not truly albinistic). True to her animal heritage, Chiara's appearance varies greatly depending on the time of the year; in the colder months she sports a cloud soft snow-white fur, in warmer months her fur is less fluffy and a slate gray-brown color speckled with white markings. People who meet her for the first time and aren't aware of this characteristic might not even recognize her on first sight when she changes from one coat to another! Even if she's still a little baby, she shows promise to be on the tall end of the spectrum when she'll be older, taking after her ninja father, more than after Cris.

    Outfit: Chiara's wardrobe is extremely varied. Unlike her mother, she enjoys going between many different outfits for different occasions. Even in her "casual" attire, Chiara tend to dress more on the formal side, with pretty dresses that make her feel like a princess while still allowing as much free movement as possible. She prefers shimmery fabrics, accented by glitters, paillettes and ribbons, even if she shies away from eccessive frills. Her favorite colors are violet, pink and soft lavender.

    Items: She is very attached to a stuffed pirate fox toy (based off Foxy from "Five Nights At Freddy's"); she takes it with her everywhere and treats it like an imaginary friend (minus believing it's actually alive).
  • Personality: The most outgoing, cheerful and friendly of Cris's brood, Chiara is a very curious and lively child who makes friends easily and loves being at the center of attention. She genuinely enjoys being complimented and pampered, and gets along easily even with her overbearing Aliprandi relatives; her personality seems to be somewhat similar to that of Isabela from "Encanto".

    However, despite her sweet character and eagerness to please, Chiara is also very sly for her age and shares the same playful, mischievous nature of her little brother - seasoned by a "craftier" and subtler approach to problems. This will become especially apparent in future years, when Chiara won't think twice about using her rank to get bullies in troubles with her guardians.

    Behind her innocence, she's not at all stupid, and knows how to manipulate the adults and wrap them around her little fingers. Nonetheless, her heart is always on the side of right; she won't hesitate to defend other smaller kids when she sees them cry and is very generous when it comes to sharing her toys and plushies. Sometimes she can be headstrong and even stubborn, having inherited more than a little of her parents recklessness, but usually her mother's sweet words can sway her... most of the times, at least. As her mother once told of her, "Once she learns to navigate society, Chiara will totally run the gambit and rattle the stars."

    Likes: Chiara's Aliprandi ancestry is evidenced by her love for glitters, sparkles and pretty jewels. But though she might take after her great-aunt Laudomia as a future fashionista, she is still the child of two former pirates, and inherited her fair share of fierceness as well. So while she likes ordinary things - like cartoons, fairytale books, princesses stories, and anything to do with dogs and ponies - she enjoys scary stories and pirate tales just as much (with a special preference for the adventures of her cool uncle Damien). She enjoys meeting new people and making friends that she can share her interests with. In some RPs, Chiara has also been shown to be a fan of the old TV Show 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'; her favorite pony is Rarity.

    Dislikes: Chiara has extremely sensitive hearing and sight; loud noises and too-bright lights hurt her ears and eyes. As a result, she must always ask that holoscreen luminosity is dimmed, and dislikes when people speak loudly around her; she's especially scared of angry shouts from men (see "Fears" below). Similarly, certain perfumes like frankincense and citrus are too "strong" and make her sneeze. Not a bif fan of vegetables - but she doesn't mind fruit. While she likes outdoor activities and playing rough, she's not fond of getting her fur or clothes too dirty (but she won't mind if she can take a bath right after). She hates seeing people upset, and will do anything to cheer them up. At the same time, she dislikes when people don't pay her attention - but is also very easy to hurt, particularly when other kids don't want to play with her because she looks "different". Out of Cris's children, Chiara remembers their father the most and dislikes that she can't see him anymore; while she's too young to understand what happened, she knows that her mum is sad without him and doesn't get why he just won't come back to them. She also misses Nano, who was her favorite out of her mum's dogs.

    Fears: Loud noises, including thunders - but especially men voice raised in anger. She's still haunted by the memories of when she and her mum had to run from their lake cabin, chased by angry lumberjacks, and shouts bring it all back in vivid details.

    Hobbies: Drawing (she scribbles and draws on every surface, walls included), covering Joy in ribbons (but it's really more of Chiara chasing after with an armful of ribbons, because Joy won't stand still for longer than two minutes; not that she seems to mind the game of chase, though), playing with plushies and dolls (she gives names and personalities to all her stuffed animal toys; while she's not so intensely attached to dolls, she loves crafting clothes for them and throwing "beauty contests"). watching cartoons (especially SuperTonino).

    Strong points: A very creative kid, it's impossible for her to get bored. Even when she's waiting for her mum to come back from long tedious board meetings, she finds ways to keep herself occupied, whether by drawing or playing make-believe.

    Weak points: Her sensitive hearing and sight are sometimes a nuisance to her in everyday activities. During storms, she'll be too scared to sleep alone and need to hide in her mother's bed.
  • History: Cris's first child, Chiara's birth was very much a surprise, if a welcome and cherished one. Her father had always thought himself sterile, and neither him nor Cris really took into account that their love could someday result in a child, let alone so soon after they hooked up (though their pirate crew - especially the cynical barber "Pretty" Todd - didn't find it surprising with how passionate they were).

    She gets her name from "chiaroscuro", reflecting both her parents love for art and their pet name for each other as a couple; her father always used to say that Cris was the "light to his life", and had nicknamed her "hikari" from the Japanese word for "light". Her second name, Damiana, is a homage to Damien Chase, her mother's best friend in the criminal underworld.

    When they found out that they were expecting a baby, the couple decided at first to not tell their Captain for fear that he would disapprove, considering a child to be a liability on a pirate crew. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned and during an emergency involving her father's ex-crush, the beans were spilled. As they had feared, their boss was anything but pleased; he did, however, allow Cris and the baby to remain in the crew. Knowing that his girlfriend would be forced into inactivity after childbirth, Chiara's father offered to do extra shifts and overtimes to ease the pressure off his pregnant girlfriend, effectively doing the work of two, exhausting as it might be.

    Although he tried to pass it off as just an unusually busy work schedule, it wasn't long before Cris found out what he had been doing. Typically, she shouldered the blame for it herself, realizing that their boss was charging her love with more and more crazy workload because he saw her as the "weak link" and a dead weight. So, in order to prove her worth beyond any doubt to the Captain and the pirate world as large, she set out to challenge their crew's archenemy (with whom she also had beef on a personal level) to a duel.

    Cris was hell-bent on demonstrating that "even the lowest rank member of the crew" was no match for their opponents, and got even more fueled by the fierce protective instincts of a pregnant mother-to-be. However, she was not inconsiderate, and only went on with the challenge after being reassured by her lover (and sparring teacher) about whether or not she had actual chances to win. While the duel was a hard-won triumph and cause for much celebration, her happiness was short-lived, as her lover confessed later that night that he had secretely entered a deal with their archenemy where he asked him to "go easy" on her.

    Cris was shattered both that his trust in her fighting prowess had been all a lie, and terrified that their opponent could hold that Damocle's sword over her family's head; she felt that he only needed to tip off their boss about her lover's "treachery" for all three of them to be executed, and this sense of dread fueled her resentment and hatred toward the enemy crew, whom she perceived as a full-blown threat to her baby's life. On top of undermining her confidence more deeply than she was willing to reveal, it made her slightly over-protective of Chiara when she was born. Many times she'd jolt awake in the dead of the night, fearing that the rest of the crew had come to collect them for insubordination. Other times she'd just shy away from everyone, holding her baby girl for dear life as the feelings of inadequacy and self-doubts washed upon her. Although Chiara was too young to understand any of this, she became her mother's security blanket, which made the bond between them all the stronger, allowing her to sense when Cris was uneasy or sad.

    Even deeper, however, was Chiara's sheer adoration of her father, the first person she saw upon opening her eyes (as by Cris's request). A total daddy's girl, she loved nothing best than to see him smile and, whenever she would start fussing, it was always her father's embrace and lullabies that could calm her the most. If growing up among pirates somewhat desensitized her to a lifestyle that most would find unsuitable for a baby, Chiara never gave any sign of being ill at ease for it; the ship was her home and she spent her first year of life knowing no wants or sorrows, surrounded by the love and care of her parents.

    After the Captain finally owned up that he'd never truly see Chiara's mother as a valuable addition, Cris left the crew to return to her old solo pirate life; her lover, however, broke up with her and insisted that she wouldn't get to keep Chiara, believing her too reckless and impulsive to be a good parent. The forced separation that ensued was nothing short of harrowing for all three parties involved. Chiara gave signs of missing her mother terribly, and while her father tried her best to keep her happy and serene, often he'd bury himself in his assassin work just so he could drown his sorrows in the blood lust. As for Cris, she tried to juggle guilt issues, self-doubt and the responsibility of a second pregnancy with the risks and dangers that came from being a pirate without a crew; ultimately, she chose to embrace motherhood and devote herself to her family, giving up piracy altogether. After the family reconciled, Chiara and her mother moved in a lakeside cabin located in a fictional countepart of Pragster (South Tyrol).

    Chiara was one year old when she and Cris fled the lake, chased by bounty hunting lumberjacks out to kill her father. Ever since, she and her little brother Reyn (born shortly thereafter) have lived in a number of other places; from New Cheyne City to the hangout of her father's ex, to the artistical haven of the Harmonya, and back to the prestigious mansions that the Aliprandi Clan has imposed on their mother. Hectic as their new life was, nothing could prepare the two children for the greatest shakeup of all when their father suddenly went missing. Although Cris has not yet been able to breach the topic with them, Chiara has all but been harboring a secret dread that her father won't be coming back - although she is too young to understand why. Recently, she consoled herself with the birth of her younger sister Rosalba, who she hopes will soon grow to become a new playmate for her and Reyn.

    Name: Reynard Hikaru Aliprandi Della Scala Di Rocca Martinez

    Nickname: Kage ("Shadow" in Japanese)

    Gender: Male

    Species: Silver fox / maned wolf anthro

    Age: 2 years old

    Zodiacal sign: Capricorn

    Heritage: Italian/Japanese.

    Title: Young Lord Aliprandi (future Heir Heritage).

    Appearance: Reyn looks very similar to his sister Chiara when she is in her "summer coat"; it's a lot easier to tell them apart when she grows her pure-white fur in colder months. Reyn's fur is the silver-grey of silver foxes, with brown makings similar to a maned wolf's on his muzzle, ears, hands and feet. His throat, belly and the tip of his tail, as well as the interior of his ears, are speckled with white. His snoot is pointy, but somewhat longer than his sister's and his ears are also bigger and more triangular. The feature that stands out the more in his face are his lively and expressive eyes, of the same dark brown color as Cris's own. His head is crowned by tufts of dark blue hair that he usually wears with a fringe covering his left eye, in a style that can be vaguely described as emo. More than once he has taken advantage of his mother's distraction to try and to color some locks a brighter blue to look more like his father, usually with markers or pencils as he's yet too young to get his hair bleached and dyed. Amusingly for a kid with maned wolf genes, he seems to be having a slower growth spurth than his sister and might possibly not get to be as tall as his father as an adult (though it's really much too early to know for sure). A lover of "junk food", he'd also be a lot chubbier than he is if he wasn't so totally energetic to burn off A LOT of calories.

    Outfit: Reyn changes even more clothes than Chiara, but for wholly different reasons as his keep getting roughed up, patched and even destroyed (to Laudomia's horror). In the end, even his Clan relatives had to own up that it's impossible to get this kid to keep on ruffles or anything too fancy; Reyn's dislike for stuffy clothes that make him feel bundled up like a mummy is only second to his ability in getting said clothes in rags by the end of the day. With singlets and jackets reserved to special occasions, his everyday clothes includes dark-colored shirts (if only because so the eventual stains won't stand out too much against black or dark blue fabric) and shorts in either jeans or denim with suspenders. Colored socks and tennis shoes complete his attire - but only when he leaves home in the morning; by the end of day he'll long have managed to lose both. And even if his mother never goes anywhere without change, it'd hardly be the first time the change also goes missing long before Cris and her children have returned home.

    Items: He sleeps with a real stuffed monster head that he nicknamed Mister Monster; a gift from Damien which is all more special because: a) it's a gift from his cool uncle, b) it's a monster, c) it's badass. If Chiara always takes her Foxy plush with her wherever she goes, there's very good chances Reyn will bring Mister Monster in college and academy for how attached he is to it. And unlike his sister, he's not at all inclined to share it with other kids!
  • Personality: At a glance, Reyn is an even bigger spitfire than Chiara, playful, mischievious and extremely loud. Much to his parents concern, he seems to have inherited all the restlessness, impatience and impulsivity of their younger years, alongside with a tendency to break the rules, defy authority and "swim against the tide", all combined into a truly explosive mix. He also has quite a morbid, if adorable, sense of humor which neither Cris nor her husband could explain, since Reyn never got to know their pirate crewmates and, unlike his sister, has not been exposed to the quirks of pirate life.

    If there were any chances that this impish streak would eventually wear off with age, the influence of his uncle Badzooka - his mother's crime buddy Damien Chase, who has already become Reyn's hero and role model even just from the tales he's heard about him - is just going the cherry on top of the cake. Secretly, however, Cris is infinitely proud of her troublemaking little boy, and always ready to take Reyn's side and cover him up.

    When left to his own devices, Reyn is a hurricane, always looking for fun, mischief and adventure. He loves getting in (and out) of troubles, as well as poking where he shouldn't. Seemingly fearless and devoid of any sense of self-preservation, he is the bane of his over-exhausted nanny robot Martin (whom he already tried to dismantle twice... and he's just two years old!). However, there's a softer side to Reyn that his exhuberant personality conceals, and that is going to emerge fully only as he grows older. For all his bravado, he's actually quite sensitive, and he's going to have a hard time coping with the insults and taunts of other children, particularly when it comes to his looks. He also longs for the confidence of a father figure in his life ever since his dad went missing, All in all, he has a softer heart than he lets through, secretly needing reassurance that he only finds in his mother's arms.

    Likes: A mama's boy at heart, he likes hugs and cuddles from his mother (though not in public - he's a tough little guy, after all!). No less than Cris, Reyn will try to befriend and pet any scary dog, cryptid or monster that he comes across, especially if they look like they could maul him without effort. He adores horror stories, as well as tales of pirates and superheroes, while he find knights and princes to be too plain and boring. Even the most thrilling storybook, however, pales in comparison with the adventures of his cool uncle Badzooka (Damien); Reyn absolutely hero-worships the man and looks foward to his visits like other children look foward to Christmas or their birthday. Gifted with a sweet tooth that just won't quit, he absolutely adores all sorts of sweets and candies; his favorite foods also include fries and fried chicken. Reyn is a huge fan of the "SuperTonino" cartoons about the adventures of a fictional Rottweiler superhero. However, SuperTonino's star might soon dim with the realization that there's a real giant friend-shaped badass werewolf in town, namely Sprite Cinders's Therion; needless to say, Reyn is going to be over the moon for his adored Wolfie buddy.

    Dislikes: He absolutely thinks he can run without sleep for days on end like the Enegizer Bunny and will keep complaining when his mother tells him it's bed time. He hates stuffy shoes nearly as much as he hates being told that he can't walk around barefoot (though taking off shoes and socks and throwing them away when mum is not looking is fun). From the youngest age he has vowed war against vegetables of any kind; he especially hates broccoli, but will turn up his little nose at anything that eve remotely smells like greens (and, having a fox's keen sense of scent, he can tell if there's vegetables concealed in other foods too). Despite his hyperactive nature, he's also not very good at sports, something that's going to give him troubles as he grows older and attends school - particularly as the gym teacher comes to despise Reyn for both his lack of coordination and the fact that he's an anthro, encouraging other kids to pick on him relentlessly. Nonetheless, Reyn remains a very vivacious and mischievous child, which is part of the reason why he dislikes being around his boring Aliprandi relatives as he's not allowed to play or do anything fun around them. Even if Reyn was very young when his father went missing, he misses him deeply and hates that he can't see him as often as before - but he's too young to understand that this isn't just a very long absence and that his father likely won't be coming back.

    Fears: Reyn is easily intimidated by strangers if they're people shaped and not cryptids or dogs (or have dog-like features). Surprisingly for such an outgoing child, upon first meeting someone he'll be very bashful and scaredy, hiding behind his mother for protection, even if he's easily swayed if the newcomers have gifts (or better yet, sweets). He dreads having to bathe; bath-time is only fun in so far as he gets to play with his toy ships, but himself getting in the tub and falling victim to the detested soap is definitely out of the picture if he can have a say on the matter (which he doesn't - to Reyn's horror). However it's still unclear whether this could actually fear of water on his part or just a childhood whim, because he's still too young for Cris to let him get anywhere near their pool.

    Hobbies: Drawing with his hands (but he's impatient so he'll rarely finish his pictures), food battles, watching cartoons, stealing his father's action figures (he's told he can't play with them, so they are an irresistible lure!), breaking things to see how they work (especially his robot nanny Martin), jumping in mud pools, having stories read to him, re-enacting Damien's stories (he absolutely wants to be him when he's grown up), surprise-pouncing on people when they're not expecting it (he's going to be a ninja, he must learn to be stealthy and mysterious!)

    Strong points: As far as a two years old can be, Reyn is very clever and intelligent. His attention span might be a bit fickle, but he's quick to learn new things and very observant of the world around him. While this makes him somewhat of a parrot when it comes to swearwords or things he shouldn't be repeating, he's also very insightful and takes notice of details that others might simply overlook.

    Weak points: He's very sensitive when it comes to insults, and has been known to cry quietly in his mother's shoulder when other children won't play with him because of his appearance.
  • History: Conceived only a few months after the birth of his sister Chiara, Reyn was named "after the two people his father loved most". His first name, Reynard, is derived from the fictional fox trickster of ancient lores, whom his father strongly identified with his ex. Hikaru is the masculine version of the Japanese word for light - which was also his father's pet name for Cris, the light of his life - and had already been considered as a potential name for Chiara, had she been born a boy.

    The circumstances surrounding Reyn's birth were neither easy nor merry. After his mother Cris learned she was with child, she told her boss that she would leave the crew if he so saw fit - but she would still continue to work as a pirate on her own. However, Reyn's father - still slighted by the fact that the first to get wind of their new baby had been a wolf anthro he despised - issued her an ultimatum; either chose her family and give up piracy, or he'd leave her and take Chiara with him (with the implications that he'd also take away Reyn after he was born because Cris was an irresponsable parent). Feeling betrayed, Cris moved out with both her children and stayed briefly with a couple of other anthros (including a male Culpeo fox). As a result, her lover started suspecting that Reyn might not be his offspring at all.

    Painfully aware of how much her lover must be missing her and Chiara, Cris reluctantly agreed to let him keep the baby because, as she put it, "I could bear loneliness - he couldn't." Over and over she made light of her agony, both over being separated from her family and a pregnancy that was proving to be anything but light on her. In one occasion, she nearly drowned when her strengths failed her as she was leaving the lakeside cabn where they had used to live; she also experienced multiple fainting spells and could get very little sleep between sickness and nightmares. Ultimately, she chose her lover and family even over the pirate life that kept calling to her; after taking her husband to a strip club to show him that she had no eyes for any other man besides him, she proposed, and the couple reconciled. While her lover still felt uncertain about his effective paternity, he pledged to be a father to Cris's child regardless. However, all doubts would dispelled when Reyn was born his spitting image.

    The family moved back in their lake cabin, and plans were made for their wedding. Reyn's father was not yet ready to leave piracy himself, but he would spend all his free time with his family and carve wood sculptures that Cris would sell at local fairs and markets, alongside with her own paintings. Sadly, before this dreamlike routine could become their new life, some wanted posters found their way to the nearby village. An unseen hand had placed an unheard-of bounty on Reyn's father's head, and before long, a witch hunt begun. Chased by armed lumberjacks who were after the promise of easy money, a heavily pregnant Cris was forced to run from the lake cabin with her one-year-old daughter, Chiara, in her arms. After reuniting with her lover, the couple hastily married in Japan and then fled back to her birth family, the Aliprandi Clan, in New Cheyne City. Only the Clan's unlimited money and status could keep the threat of that bounty at arms length; if that meant having to adapt to the stifling world of high society, both Cris and her husband were ready to take the challenge. Or so they thought.

    Reyn was born a couple weeks later, and his first year of life seemed generally happy. But even if he and Chiara were too young to realize it, all was not well in their parents wedding. Living with the Aliprandi Clan crushed their father into a deep depression, made even worse by the estrangement of his ex after a fight broke out between him and Cris. Trying to get a break from all their burdens and responsibilities, the couple went on sabbatical and distanced themselves from the social scene and the public eye. But even though Cris tried to patch up things between her husband and his ex, supported him all through out depression and did everything in her power to be of help, it was too little and too late for him. When she tried to talk out their problems, he told her that he wanted a divorce and that it was all her fault if their story was going under - words that would forever be etched in her heart, and that still haunt her to date.

    At first, Reyn and Chiara lived with their father's ex as Cris struggled with the deep certainty that she must be an careless parent and, worse still, a bad influence. In the end, however, she realized that she missed her children too much to live without them and told their father that she'd take their custody back. After all, he had once trusted her to be a good and loving parent to them, "the family he never had", and even if she no longer trusted herself she still felt that she had to trust him. Seeing each other again seemed to bring back all the old, long-buried feelings they had for each other; reconciled, they stayed together for some time, raising their children together. Eventually, it wasn't long before restlessness caught up with Reyn and Chiara's father again - and not wanting to shackle him down, Cris encouraged him to set off on his own quest to "find himself", with the promise that she and the children would be waiting his return.

    Even their new long-distance relationship, however, proved ill-fated. When her husband stopped answering calls and went missing, Cris began to fear that something terrible must have happened; but having just found out that he had left her pregnant with a third baby, she did not dare embark on a search party - not after she promised him that she would keep herself and the children safe. Shortly after, Count Anastasio tracked them down and took Cris, Reyn and Chiara back in New Cheyne City. Ever since, the children have been living with their mother in the dazzling world of high society; recently, were joined by their new baby sister, Rosalba.

    Title: Young Lady Aliprandi

    Appearance: A tiny humanoid marble vixen baby girl, Rosalba has white fur with fuzzy brown markings on her head and muzzle - of the same shade of brown of her mother's hair. She stands out from her siblings because she was born with heterochromia; her left eye is red while the right one is warm brown.

    Personality: Although she is really too young to know what her future personality is going to be like, for now she seems a quiet child, fussing very little and generally cheerful. When she's not sleeping or feeding she likes to watch her surroundings, and is very friendly with people, trying to engage in conversation with her adorable coos and babbles. As any kid her age, she's grabby, but not near as much as her brother Reyn. So far, she seems the calmer of the three... but it's also true that still waters run deep, so Cris can't entirely write out that Rosy won't be as much a handful as her siblings as she grows older!

    Likes: Cuddling with her mom, lullabies, bright colors, people who talk with her (she tries to mimick them).

    Dislikes: Seeing her mom upset, bad dreams, when something wakes her abruptly.

    Hobbies: Napping, trying to repeat words and babbling along with lullabies.

    Strong points: She's pretty chill and a fast learner, as much as a little baby can be.

    Weak points: She gets anxious if she can't at least see her mother.

    Biography: Rosalba is the youngest of Cris's child and the baby of the family. Her name means "Rose Dawn"; Cris chose it both because it sounded like a good omen for her life and because it had the same root of her father's name, on top of reflecting her love for roses. Similarly, she chose Emilia as her second name to honor her "adopted" mother, Emily Bonham.

    The pregnancy was not an easy one, due to all the stress that her mother was trying to cope with; anxiety and grief for the presumed death of her husband, the urgency to keep the Aliprandi Clan in the blank about the new baby, and the hassle of juggling her job schedule with family duties. Cris especially dreaded that if the Clan had found out she was with child, they would anesthethize her during childbirth and claim that the baby hadn't made it while actually smuggling her off for some of the more "respectable" relatives to raise. When he couldn't hide her pregnancy anymore, she decided to drop off radar - allegedly on a "sabbatical" - and hid away from the world in one of her many mansions, not daring to set foot outside until after childbirth (for fear that the neighbors would rat her out).

    All this strain was not good for her, and the delivery was very, very painful. Ultimately, however, Rosalba was born a healthy and lively fox-child. Even so, her young life has been anything but dull. During a diplomatic mission, Cris and her children were ambushed ruthlessly by a nefarious megacorporation that intended to use them as bargaining chips. Separated by her mother and siblings for the very first time, Rosalba was terribly frigtened, fussing and crying constantly. Her capture unleashed Cris's berserk fury, something that she had long tried to keep at bay. In the end, mother and children were reunited, but the traumatic event has left Rosy very much anxious whenever she is separated from Cris.

  • Kids Trivia

    In their alternate version from my and tree's graphic novel, the kids are called respectively Bianca, Kit and Rossana. Bianca (italian for white) keeps the light and dark theme and is a reference to her white fur in colder months, Kit is both the short form of Cristopher and hints to his fox genes, and Rossana is both the name of an italian candy and, as the italian version of Roxanne, has the same root of her father's name.
