Fucking pain. What the hell was happening now? Was the Cryochamber damaged? Ugh, I was getting a headache now. I groaned softly and opened my eyes slowly Warning. Cryochamber at 90% power and dropping. I scowl softly and wonder what I should do. Well, the chamber would be destroyed anyway so nothing could be done. Perhaps it was time to wake up after all... how long had it been? Which year was it? Was it going to be vastly different? Would anyone I know still be fucking alive? Fuck. I didn't have many friends and those I had I valued a lot even when I had simply just vanished off the fucking planet without so much as a goodbye to those people around me. Well, they believed I had been dead at that point so ... yea.

Warning. Cryochamber dropping to 80% power. Well that was a sudden drop. Was the damage to the chamber that bad? I lay in the tube thinking without really moving since well... I couldn't. It was hilarious what you can and cannot do just suspended there... not much actually. Just there. Sigh. How sad. How boring. I wish I was back in sleep but noooo some idiot had either pissed off the security system, destroyed the facility or well time had caused the machine to erode.

Warning. Cryochamber has passed a 25% power drop. Begin emergency measures? Tug left for yes, Right for no I frown feeling the two levers my hands had been frozen over holding. Hm. Seems I could move em alright. But no. No Emergency measures needed therefore I tugged on the left lever wondering what the emergency measures would have been in the first place. I drift off to sleep again slowly when the machine blared annoyingly.

Warning. Power level below 60% emergency measures recommended. Proceed? With a sigh and tug of a left lever saying No i try to relax and naturally exit the sleep without having to get kicked out of it and just land on my ass and unable to move for a period of time. Who knew what was out there eh?

Warning. I sigh and let the voice continue Power level at 40% deploying emergency protocol I suddenly jolt in position wondering how it dropped down so suddenly. It was way too sudden. What the hell was even happening? Fine. Might as well get mentally prepared. What was the emergency protocol anyway and where was Zorcryx when I needed him?

Memories flashed by when I had met Zorcryx. He was so unique. So loving. So nice. It had been a great pairing and we had bonded almost immediately. The Memories faded away suddenly as the coldness of the cryo-chamber dropped down steadily and it was like a shock to the system. I groan slightly and wonder if the machine would release me properly. The metal bands secured around my wrist left elbow, neck, waist and ankles and thighs. Seriously how did they not think someone could drown in this? A helmet over my head that was flashing red showing that the power was dropping and the body stats.

The emergency protocol was taking place just outside which included a VERY secure container that was triggered into remote unlocking. It had been designed to only be released if the Cryochamber went below the 40% mark. Glass shattered and something flew out of the chamber and started taking form into a smooth metallic slime. Zorcryx was awake. He was concerned sensing the loss in power coming from the tube and patiently waited.

Warning. Cryochamber below 10%. Prepare for emergency release. You will feel... The voice faded as I started shaking violently inside the tube and it exploded around me. There was a flash of metal and Zorcryx was wrapped around me protectively in an impenetrable dome of comfort while sending a part of him to re-attach back to my spine.

I groan at the pain as Zorcryx's presence was reintroducing himself to my spinal cord and brain as we connected again and then steam rose from my body as I stand up slowly and crack my neck and rolled my shoulders as my right arm was still missing. "Now. Wherever could I be? Zorcryx locate my arm and weapon. I don't think I can leave yet. Fire up the monitoring devices if they are still working we need to see how much damage my body sustained for it to be stuck in cryosleep and most importantly analyze the atmosphere outside" There was a faint blue glow surrounding my body

Immediately Yama. Zorcryx's smooth tone intoned and got to work as I slowly made my way to the lab just next to the destroyed cryo-chamber. The factory had indeed taken damage to the control room and the generator was not looking good. I shut it down not wanting it to blow up on me. The building was entirely underground and I do mean UNDERGROUND. There were probably new buildings even built over it at this point. Perhaps hundreds of em. This place had been built to be ... VERY secure and could not be entered from outside without heavy equipment.

I switch on the backup generator and hummed picking up a spanner and tossed it into the air catching it again as I walk around the old generator to see what the problem was. Ah, it had run down from use? Well, then I must be many many years away from the date I was shut down. Sighing I feel a small phantom pain from the missing right arm and laughed hollowly. There was no ... pain there but past memories always seem to trigger the feeling of it. I pull out a toolbox from storage and started work. I needed something to get my mind off things when Zorcryx sounded out

You shouldn't be working Yama. You just woke up! He sounded worried like he usually was as I brush it off and focus on fixing the old generator.
"Have you located my arm Zor? I would like to use both arms when using the computer"
I have yet to find it Yama. It has to be in your personal lab a few floors down. I will send a part of me to check ok? He blobbed a bit off him off and slid through the cracks in the ground to head down to my personal lab that I had used to develop tech when I was working. Zorcryx returned and I had just finished most of the major work on the generator. I hadn't even noticed that the time had even passed. I almost always get lost in my work and time flow just breezed me.

"What have you found Zor?" I set the wrench down in the toolbox and looked at the blob that floated in front of me. He looked adorable in his mini form and then bounced away floating to the bench in the room where my right arm was resting still in its pristine condition "Did you have to break the seal or use the authorization code?"

Code. It was locked up quite tightly. They really didn't want their tech to be taken. Shall we absorb it now then? You will need to rest a bit and also find something to eat? Zor was back to being the mom as I laugh softly and pick up the arm fitting it in and groaned feeling it connect with Zorcryx who worked on settling it in place and connected right. I go to see if we had the dehydrated food packs in the kitchen as I rub my tummy a little and tied up my long messy hair and tying it up in a bun for the moment and sticking a pen in it since I didn't have any bands yet


After a delightful ... insert sarcasm here ... dinner of rehydrated whatever it was I went back to the lab and made my way into the bathroom to look at my hair situation. I needed a shower and... perhaps a diagnostics run. I try to shower up and wince at the metallic smelling water. Ah, great rust. Well, fine we can let it run then. I open the tap and let the water run while getting a diagnostic check to see if I was functioning properly. It seemed like I was.

I finish up work on the main generator and let the back up run for the moment as I make my way to 4 floors down taking the elevator shaft to locate my personal lab where most of my stuff was. Water was still running to get clean when I returned with a long case that held my weapon and a bag of my other items. I shower up in the cleaner water, found myself a set of shorts and a t-shirt and then stretched out feeling the satisfying cracking of bone and ... well the metal didn't make those sounds so yea. I put on some music from my time and worked around the lab till my results came in.

The diagnostics cleared me saying I needed proper sleep and nutrition and I would be fine. Guess that was what I would do. Well since I had been asleep mere hours ago and wasn't sleepy just yet... well time to train a bit then. I do some warming up stretches and then moved into progressively difficult exercises stopping only when I felt tired.

The environment scans had shown that it was quite bad up there. I nod at that since it made sense. Zorcryx would keep me safe anyway. I take another quick shower and flop down on the bed. I hadn't made a move to leave the building yet. Since well... I didn't want to till I was ready and I needed the rest. I look at the ceiling that still had the small stickers on it I had put up for one of the children who had been living here. The star stickers flickered a bit as my eyes close and I fell asleep properly after what felt like ... so many many years.
