Lukas van Ammers

Although Lukas naturally has a heart of gold, it takes a lot to reach his golden center. Incredibly stubborn and facetious, Lukas (mostly) stays out of trouble, and takes no shit from anybody. It does not take much for him to get attached to someone, but when he does, he will do everything in his power to protect them. When meeting others, he’s defensive and does not reveal a lot of information. Although it can seem like it’s impossible, with a little tlc, Lukas will open right up in no time. He won’t admit it, but his love language is physical touch and with the right person, absolutely loves cuddling and to be cuddled. Head scratches and backrubs are one surefire way to relax this brick wall.
He seems to have trouble taking life seriously, but gets angry and even vengeful when those he cares about are put in danger.
He does not like to bother people when asking for help. He is reluctant to seek help for his own problems, opting to battle his inner demons in silence.

Strengths: In his youth, Lukas was not very physically intimidating. He was often a target of bullying, and developed a talent for escaping those wanting to hurt him. He is able to climb and vault objects with unnatural haste, and utilizes these skills in the apocalypse.

Weaknesses: Lukas is not very physically strong. He lacks upper body strength, and overall is not a very good fighter. Despite this, he often opts to settle things violently and as a result often finds himself injured and weakened. He lacks coordination and most of his fighting techniques involve knee-jerk reactions, and the swinging of any object he happens to have on hand.

Raised in a loving middle-class home, Lukas van Ammers was treated well by his parents, excelled in school and was well-liked by his peers. From a young age, he developed a love for music, which was encouraged and enabled by his parents.
When he hit his teenage years, that’s when things went awry.
He began getting into trouble- picking fights in school, shoplifting, petty larceny... Small things, but things that would no doubt lead into a life of criminal activity.

By 16 years old, Lukas had been arrested twice- once for shoplifting, the second for aggravated assault. Both charges dropped, Van Ammers took this opportunity to live his best life of crime and chaos, tagging Government buildings for a laugh and setting fires in dumpsters
His parents thought he was a lost cause- until a military recruiter visited his school. This was Lukas’ turning point in his life, as he decided that he would join the military once he was old enough.
Well, that lasted about eight months before going AWOL. All the information on file lead to dead ends or voicemail and after a grueling three weeks, they gave up on contacting Van Ammers.
Carrying on his love of music, Lukas eventually got into the world of nightclubs. This drove him to create his own music, testing sets in his apartment for nobody- soon to work under the table for nightclubs in London, spinning dark drum and bass whilst making a pretty penny.
He was 24 when the outbreak occurred. He was doing a set at a disused insane asylum north of London when he had his first encounter with the creatures, dubbed Zeds.
A Fleshpound- a goliath with flesh blenders for hands- stormed through the room, crushing his fans and killing everyone.
Except Van Ammers, of course.
He escaped, with both physical and mental scarring.
It didn’t take long for Horzine to come out, seeking people to hunt and kill their abominations- although Lukas debated declining, a fuckton of untraceable cash couldn’t be beat. Using his pseudonym, Lukas Visser, he signed with Horzine and was given a key to TRADER pods set up throughout Europe.
He was a Zed-killing machine. He was deadly efficient- so much so that it spawned silly rumors that he must be ex-special forces. But that’s just another Scully joke.
