Dead On Monday

Taeyang

  		•  ➣LOOKS▪ Taeyang is short, but offsets this by wearing inserts and thick-soled shoes. He is narrow but fit with subtle muscle definition and a little body hair. His hair varies, but lately he keeps it white with a colored streak in his bangs and with that same color around the short portions of his undercut. He tends to go for darker or more mature styles for photo ops and performances, but when off the clock, he dresses in pretty standard streetwear: joggers, tees, snapbacks, baggy jackets, the works. ➣MENTAL▪ Fairly mellow and mentally stable to most. He does have some difficulties with attachments and rejection sensitive dysphoria, but for the most part has his head on straight. He responds to anxiety by plowing through despite the discomfort, but can easily forget about that discomfort if someone else is anxious near him. In that case, he does what he can to help them.

    		➣POSITIVE▪ Taeyang is patient and understanding, and an overall good friend to most. He does his best to keep his loved ones happy, but sometimes overextends himself. Social and full of laughter, although not the life of the party, his presence is often a nice one to have. ➣NEGATIVE▪ He's a little flighty when tensions rise. He tends to do poorly with confrontation or with rejection, but if backed into a corner, he's been known to get aggressive. He forms attachments quickly, then becomes scared of losing those people or that rejection, so he steps back.






  • Taeyang grew up poor but happy. His relationship with his family was fantastic. He was an only child, but lost his father early to cancer. His dad was a good sport through all of it, and it made the transition into accepting that he was dying a little easier for Taeyang to take, but there's not a day he doesn't miss him.

    He keeps in contact with his mother, and tends to gush on and on and on about her and how he plans on spoiling her. She did her best for him, so he's going to do his best for her. Her name is Rebecca.

    He was a little bit of a troublemaker growing up, mostly with other kids and not standing so much for seeing others get picked on or bullied. He got his ass kicked a lot as a result, but never regretted it. His mother always tried to talk him away from that sort of behavior, but ultimately said she understood. She pushed for him to befriend those getting picked on instead of getting violent in their stead, but he ended up mostly doing both. Throughout school, he was the go-to guy when people were stressed and wanted to feel safe and unalone when they've been bothered. They weren't necessarily all friends, but he'd be the one to walk them home after school and come home a little late. He was a small guy, but he was tenacious and protective.

    ...Until he got his ass handed to him much harder than usual and ended up with some head trauma that left him comatose for about a week. After that, he was never really confrontational again, and seemed to fear it. He didn't overextend himself after that, saving his protective nature for those he got closest to, but the personality changes were so drastic that it was uncomfortable for those he did know, and their relationships quietly fizzled out. He made new ones, at least, and his mother was always there for him.

    When he got older, he decided a little late that he wanted to get involved in the industry. He trained with other boys, mostly younger than him, but showed promise in how quickly he caught on. He was a perfectionist in that regard, and did his best to outshine those around him without putting them down. In the end, he was paired with one other in a duo, and quickly latched on like a brother figure to him.
