  • Backstory

    Life at Home
    Seth "Achilles" Gulbrand grew up in the Kingdom of Arlon. His mother was of elven blood, while her husband was human. From their union Seth was born as a half-breed, though minimal discrimination was ever shown to the young boy in his younger years. His family had established themselves as Enchanters; often crafting, selling, and pawning enchanted weapons and armor in order to make a living. This allowed Seth not only a comfortable life, but allowed him access to higher education.

    Growing up in the streets of the Kingdom of Arlon, he normally got by unscathed. Due to his appearance being more on his mother's side. He wasn't initially thrown in the bin of half-breeds and no one never really investigated any further into his parents. However, certain scenarios have arose relating to his heritage and he faced some form of discrimination for not being a pure blood elf. Though, this never bothered the young male in the first place.

    Although, as Seth grew older his eyes began to lead him astray from the humble life of an enchanter. Instead he dreamed and strived to wear the ceremonial armor of the soldiers of Arlon. At the ripe age of 15 years old, Seth had signed up and was enlisted in the footmen infantry of Arlon.

    Military Career
    At the start of Seth's military career, he had spent an entire year being trained by his Master Captain; Sir Alaunt. Along with the forty-plus candidates who also started the same year as Seth. During this year, he had learned simple things such as basic hand-to-hand combat, physical conditioning and how to maintain it, basic swordplay, general formations, tactics, and survival training. After the training, Seth was given the ceremonial armor that he always dreamed of. Of course, his service was more than just this. The Kingdom of Arlon soon declared a war on the savages that had surrounded the land. Specifically, Ogres, feral goblins, and any humanoid beasts who had terrorized the trading routes, villages, and small towns for far too long.

    The second year of his service was blood to say the least. Seth was part of the Fourth Infantry division which skirmished with feral goblins and ogres. Unfortunately, the opposing force had more experience in the terrain the two forces were fighting in and kept getting ahead of the Fourth Infantry division in both body count, and strategy. The Master Captain Alaunt was eventually killed in action as he was leading his trained regimen. With no other alternative, and reinforcements being stretched thin in this declared war. A group of five soldiers, including Seth came together in order to lead the rest of the division into not only victory through defensive stalemates in open territory, but also getting a safe distance away from the overwhelming force. All five soldiers were given commendations, and this is when Seth began to skyrocket through the ranks of the military.

    Continuing his Military Career, the next couple of years were the same as the second with the Kingdom of Arlon still fighting against the feral creatures of the forest. However, at this point Seth was now a commanding officer (Master Captain) in the next few skirmishes against the monsters themselves. He set up traps of face caravans moving through high-risk locations in order to surround and eventually dispatch of large groups of both goblins, and ogres. Through hard work and determination, the western region of Arlon was safely secured. The war ended on the fifth year, and Seth was once again rewarded with a promotion, "Knight Commander" or, the Commander of the West.

    Peaceful years passed, and at the age of twenty-four years old, Knight Commander Seth "Achilles" Gulbrand had led so far a successful military career in the short time he was serving. Of course.. anything can happen here on.

    • Personality: Seth is built with kind principles, doing the best he can for not only his own people but for outsiders. While he is stern due to his position of authority this trait can crack from one on one conversations and situations. Seth isn't quick to anger; however, traumatic experiences often trigger bouts of rage followed by a feeling of loss and doubt. He isn't easily annoyed, and is generally patient with problems that arise.

  • Abilities

    During his military service, Seth "Achilles" Gulbrand was able to not only hone his martial prowess, but gain arcane knowledge as well. This training has given Seth some knowledge in elemental, and support type magics.

    Elemental Spells
    Fire: This simple spell allows the caster to produce a baseball sized source of flame within the user's palm, this ball of fire can be thrown a total of 10 feet and combusts into a small explosion with a radius of 3 feet dealing minor element specific damage.

    Water: This simple spell allows the caster to produce a small source of water within his palm, the caster can whip this source of water at an opponent near 5 feet of the caster. The water deals element specific damage and minor blunt force trauma as well.

    Lightning: This simple spell allows the caster to create static within their palm, this static can be concentrated and released in a total distance of 15 feet from the caster. The bolt deals element specific damage and can stun certain enemies for a small amount of time.

    Support Magic

    Major Heal: This spell allows the caster to use an advanced version of heal. This will generally heal a wide assortment of wounds ranging from minor, to grave. However, the spell needs time in order to recover the wounds depending on their severity and requires an extended moment of concentration. Fatal wounds will take the longest to heal.

    Courage: This spell rallies the fighting spirit within a total of 2 people that the caster is within a 10 foot distance of. This spell allots the chosen with a boost in strength, health, and speed. This lasts for a total of 2 turns and cannot be used again until 4 turns.
