Archie was born into a succesful business family. Their last name Van Every has always showed positive, when mentioned in conversations. He's always been happy. He loved the life he was living as a child. It's always been decided that he one day would take over the company and be like his parents, when he got older. Therefore he was forced to take economy classes at a very young age. He had to read novels, before he could even finish a childbook. Luckely, he's always been clever, so whenever he really did something wrong, he had his arguments in order. He has a distorted mind and doesn't mind blaming someone else, for something he did. His parents were proud; he was a good son and they were good parents. When he got 10 years old, his father learned him about everything in the ''business-world'' and Archie loved it. It became something only the two of them had. He was no doubt closest with his father. When he turned 13, his parents died in a car accident and neither him or any other familiy members got the chance to say goodbye. It happened because of him. For the first time, he wanted to go to a party, trying to fit in with the other kids at school. He had gone without telling them. They always meant that it was only stupid teenagers with no future, that partied and drank alchohol. But now, he became one of them. He blamed himself for their death and it didn't take a long time, before people could see it. He and his younger sister moved in with his uncle, whom took over the family business. Archie lost completely interest in the business industry and in a long period, he didn't even seem sad. Unlikely his sister, whom didn't even try to hide it. That's when he started to party a lot, probably not healthy for a boy his age, but he didn't care. He would show up to a busy and hard day the next day and come through with a massive hangover. His uncle tried to live up to the role as their guardian, while Archie only tried to make it more difficult for him. For a lot of years, it went that way. But when he turned 18, he got handled his parents company, even though he didn't want it at that time. His interest for it was gone. But after some time he realised, that it belonged to him. Everything did.
But a young guy like him didn't have a chance in the business industry and he quickly got turned down by the costumers his parents used to have. He got desperate as he started losing a lot of money and he began to scam every single costumer. He lied to them, would have more money than it was worth. Archie is deep down trapped in a cage, he can't get out of. He's been doing this for many years and while he lives in an expensive penthouse appartment in New York and drives in a Lamborghini, he doesn't own a single penny.
Archie is a very complicated person. He struggles with a lot of mental issues, such as the guilt of his parents death and the guilt of destroying everything they've used years to built up. He constantly feels like he's letting them down. They expected a lot of him and now that he's standing by himself, he failed. He is extremely selfish, and at the end of the day, he probably doesn't care about anyone but himself. He shines confidence and he is not afraid to show his money (that's he doesn't have), only so people can like him even more. He can get pretty angry, if he feels treated unfairly. He has a lot of secrets and he never shares. You can have known him for years, without realizing that you know absolutely nothing about him.
