Clyde Byers has always wanted to be a good man. He wanted to be a gentleman, the type of man, to help others and guide others. The problem with that dream: his family. Born into violence and blood, peace was never ever an option. For so long, Clyde fought for his dream. He keept away from his father and the family bussines, but then his bevloved sister got hurt. All that inherited anger and rage, came busting out. He saw red and to this day today, he can't really recall what happend. What he has been told however, was that he found the man who hurt his sister and beat him to death. Clyde became what he feared, what he never wanted to be. By the age of 20, Clyde had become his fathers second in commande. He now found peace in the violence, embreassed who he was always meant to become.
Outspoken, charming and loyal to a fault. Clyde is a man who you want on your side. He is a solider, that will go to war for you. He no longer puts a lit on his anger, but let it flows instead. A dangerous man, who still harbor a child like dream of being a good man. He got blood on his hands now at the age of 25. He no longer craves the blood. He saw the devil looking in the mirror back at him. It was never his dream to start fires, he never meant to make people lose and bleed and he never meant to lose his way. A constant battle within himself. Who he was born to be, and who he really wants to be.
Scared to let people down, he often ends up doing whatever they want, and not what he wants for himself. Scary and intimidating. He does relish in making people scared, and he likes to be in control. He is a man, that has no trouble getting woman. Everybody likes a bad boy, and there isn't one more bad, then a real life mobster. He will talk down to you, but also kill anyone who looks funny at you. He is a man, that cannot be understod or read. He doesn't even know who he is himself. The feared underboss in the Byers family? Or a lost soul, who always wanted to be better, than his family?
Clyde was always meant to fail, as he was always meant to live a life laid out for him by others. Dreaming never ever got him anywhere. Who will he marry? Surely not a love match, but rather someone decided for him. A woman whom he will never stay faithful to, but a woman he will protect and a woman who will carry his future children. Love is lost on him, but he can't stop loving to much. Alcohol and cigarets, sex and blood, violence in the darkness that he has accepted. A fondness for caring creatures and red dripping down the wallpaper of his childhood home.
