Yaeko Kaslana-Frei

Yaeko was diagnosed with a heart defect a few months after birth. It left her body incredibly weak and prone to severe episodes of fatigue. As she grew, it left her with a longing to be like other kids. Unable to be like others her age, she instead formed a very close relationship with her sister and their grandparents who took care of them.

While memories of her father are vague at best, memories of her mother are somewhat intact thanks to stories told by her grandmother about how she was a brave protector of humanity. Any interactions with her mother were far and in between, yet it gave her something to aspire for as her grandmother firmly planted a side of hope within the young child that she may overcome her condition one day.

At some point there was a  disaster in Siberia (where she lived with her grandparents) that disrupted Yaeko's common life, changing it forever.

Possessing a calm, cool behavior, and a mysterious appearance, Yaeko is a brave, passionate and assertive person. She is determined, decisive, and will research whatever has her attention until she finds the truth of the matter. Typically aware of a situation, she shows a level of resourcefulness when she needs to. Yaeko respects other people, so she expects to be respected in return. She is a very proud individual, especially in her abilities. She doesn't like being looked down upon or told what to do as she wants to be viewed as independent. She typically prefers to work independent except in certain cases.

Living to experience and express emotions; these things are very important to Yaeko. She manifests them differently than others and has trouble expressing them in front of others. Seemingly cold and detached, her sharp tongue, blunt way of speaking and the straight face she is capable of keeping when she speaks only reinforces her cold, detached appearance. Due to this, those that are not close to her, find her a challenge to speak with. Despite this, her words usually come from a good place and are rather sincere. Those that manage to gain her favor are shown a very caring side laced with bluntness that outsiders may view as her talking down to others if not given proper context.

Honesty and fairness are the two qualities that make Yaeko a great friend. Dedicated and loyal when it comes to both working and friendship are the traits that make her a good candidate for leadership positions (despite typically not wanting them). Quick-witted and intelligent, she feels the most comfortable in the company of witty and fun loving people. When it comes to keeping secrets, death is a far more tempting option than diverging what she knows.

Full of surprises and will to give a friend everything they need; the other side of the coin shows that if she is let down even once - there is no return. Dishonesty is answered with contempt. Jealous and suspicion dominate her mind when she feels that something of hers is being threatened in any way. When in pain, she becomes very emotional and it is near impossible to make her feel better.

Yaeko is fantastic when it comes to solving and creating. When a goal is set, there is no giving up. Her ability to focus with determination makes her a very capable problem solver. She never mixes business with friendship.
