Shiri Nakamura

In Feudal Japan, a married Japanese couple lived in a village close to Edo named Floria. They both came from other planets: Planet Earth and Planet Neira. Living in Floria, his shinobi village, the couple raised three children together. Shiri Nakamura and Hideki are younger against the oldest Ume Nakamura. The family was trained in the ninja village from the age of eight of each character. This tale is about Shiri Nakamura, the youngest demi goddess compared to her older siblings. Her mother is a goddess from Neira while her father Kenji lives on Planet Earth.

Being born later than her siblings, Shiri grew up with a red haired girl within her. The girl looked the same age and used the kunoichi as a host to live in and would appear in her nightmares. Around the age of ten, she was confirmed that a demon tried to possess her. Knowing this made Shiri’s dark hair become two new hair colors, blonde on the left and cerulean blue on the right. She juggled between two lifestyles: Her school life as a ninja and training by her family to control her powers and overcome what she had become.

Within the age of twelve, her life around Floria began to change. Shiri’s older sister, Ume resigned her duties as a kunoichi. She had seen it as a shameful embarrassment to the family’s tradition. At the time, Ume was next to become the leader of their ninja clan at the age of seventeen due to her impressive work as a ninja. If her father was to die, she would be next in line to take over. However, she wanted to change her life’s lifestyle as a samurai. She thought it would bring honor to not only herself but to her family’s honor.
When Ume retired to become a samurai, her father saw it as a betrayal along with Shiri. At the time, it broke their hearts. Regardless of how they felt as family, Ume’s decision was absolute and final. Only her mother wanted to support her from living there as a shinobi.

Shiri found a best friend around this time. His name was Haruto who fought her brother to get acceptance into the village. She was one of the few to welcome him due to his strength. The kunoichi could never beat him in a battle. No matter how hard she tried. She was trained to learn four martial arts by her father.. ‘Ninjutsu, Taekwondo, Karate and Kickboxing’. She learned silent movement and Stealth as well. Haruto only knew “Krav Maga and Muay Thai” as a martial art. He was the son of parents in the security and Military which led him to learn them. He had no parents due to both dying to bring him to make ends meet in Edo, Japan. He was an English fighter who never learned how to use a weapon. Shiri volunteered to become his fighting partner. And so, they became connected between their fighting styles.

With her martial arts training completed, Kenji (Shiri’s father) brought it to Shiri’s attention to talk about what had been going on. Her heritage is an Aureli, a species similar to humans on this alternate Earth. The Aureli have supernatural functions that are superhuman regarding their lifespan, peak human condition, stamina, speed, strength, durability and endurance. All of those are enhanced and one of the strongest species that have an extended age to its superhuman’s abilities. They are practically near immortality. Each member within the last generation are Aureli living in a floral village which is Floria.

She and Hideki graduated into further stages of shinobi and kunoichi over the years that Haruto stayed in the village. At the age of fourteen, Shiri began to experience supernatural powers that she went through while twelve to her current age. Those powers are: ‘Air Manipulation, Illusion Manipulation, Energy Manipulation, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Exploding Clones, Energy Bombs, and Regenerative Healing Factor. Haruto was branded on his upper back by a ninja member to become an Aurelis. And so, he was turned into one and was previously a human.

Shiri’s mother would then choose to leave Floria to head back to her planet Neira. She received warnings from an immortal that trouble arose in natives and other deities. Knowing this news, she knew she had to attend Neira again to help dissolve the bad news. It brought chaos between Shiri and the other parts of the Aurelis’ members. However, she assured them that Kenji would take over Floria in her place. From there, she left and let them know that she’ll be back. This worried Shiri, thinking the family was slowly falling apart. At the time, she was raised by her older brother. Since this happened, the rival clans and shinobi crept on the ninjas in Japan ever since.

Becoming more fatal, Shiri was trained within the areas of: Explosives, Assassinations, Tactics, Poisons from flowers and plants, Weapons, Shuriken, Kunai, Poisonous Darts, Blowgun, Throwing Knives, Kusarigama, Tanto and Katanas. She was useful within Sabotage, Assassination, Trickery and Infiltration. It was not long where she had to learn to work together as a team. She worked in the past alone. But the more she worked with Haruto the more, she felt it was easier to become a ‘team player’. Shiri would use the Tanto and Katana if she had trouble using her martial arts . She relied on her body as a weapon instead the two bladed weapons. However, Haruto relied on a wakazashi sword despite being more vast in learning hand to hand combat.
At the age of fifthteen, her father left the village after promising Shiri that he would return. He departed, worried that her mother never came back over the years that she disappeared. He left without a trace and her older brother and herself became orphans. He became a father figure until their parents return. But they never did and it had been over a year since then. Shiri never got over them and chose to leave at age sixteen. Before she left, her brother was persistent to let her leave. But she resisted against him. He gave in and told her that she had to go to a rivaled village that was within Japan. This village was abandoned and has a magical gateway to a bridge that only an immortal or enhanced person /monster can make it through this new dimension. It was known as: ‘The Bridge of the Ancients’.

After crossing the bridge and the village, Shiri made it to a new place. The new location was named: ‘Oracle Beach’. Oracle Beach is a beach on a new planet called, 'Neira'. Neira is a planet that have a deadly, airbone effect that kills off humans. The immortals stay here who is born here is familar to its futuristic realm. It is not the same to the Feudal Japan era of Earth's. It is a home to things and beings that are supernatural.

The closest location there was Xeres, a southern city. On the new planet, it caused a hazardous airborne effect over humans. Shiri was not affected by the hazardous effect. It was as if she had immunity to it. During her time in Xeres, Shiri was affected by the demon within her body. It was trying to possess her but to her dismay, only Shiri’s eyes turned red. It was then that something about Xeres brought a nostalgic reaction to it.

The people who lived there were a variety of citizens. Some felt the change in Shiri but stayed away. After the demon realized that Shiri had a resistance over the possession, she attempted to leave the body. It was a success but another person approached the duo. A dark skinned woman in a dark leather catsuit tried to walk to them. However, Shiri attacked the redheaded demon first. Before they encountered one another, the dark woman tried to break up the pair. She was full of questions. One of them is about the fight and revealed the demon is her adoptive sister. She introduced herself to Shiri as ‘Malice’. Malice have fought Shiri due to her disrespect to the adoptive demon. The redhead stopped the feud between them. And spoken to the two who wanted answers for her actions.

According to the mysterious redhead, she became a spirit that never got over the last thing she did in her previous life. Seeing Malice again had made her adopted sister confess. Her name was Mariel. She was infatuated with Shiri’s father who saved her from crooked authorities. She knew that he was an assassin, no more, no less. Mariel followed the lead about him from a dark goddess who was Malice’s mother. The dark goddess rivaled against Shiri’s mother who was another goddess. When she found out that Shiri’s mother married him and was pregnant with Shiri.

She traveled to Earth in Floria, Japan. Using her powers to wipe away most of the guards and the native shinobi protecting the married couple. Finding them in the northern house near the village’s exit, Mariel tried to kill the pregnant goddess. Although, the goddess was weakened at this time, the demonic woman was stopped by Kenji. He recognized Mariel and warned her to leave. Instead, she chose to stay and try to defeat both of them. Regarding their marriage, Mariel had to toss away her feelings towards him and listened to the dark goddess. Kenji was left with no choice and murdered her regardless of what she had become. Out of her love for him, she was no longer an ally. After she was killed, the slain demon became a spirit. By then, Mariel’s spirit used the newborn as a host to grow, heal and attack it’s parents when the time had come. She never forgave this family for what had happened between her and Kenji. That was her confession.

Malice did not think Shiri deserved this act of revenge based on her father. She voiced her opinion about how things could not happen between the father and Mariel. The demonic spirit would ask Shiri to do one last thing for her. It was: To seek out Kenji and give an apology and tell him about the dark goddess that preyed on her. Shiri agreed. Malice stayed behind in Xeres due to an outbreak of sick natives within the city. She wanted to protect the remaining survivors and a cure to the diseased illness. Malice informed Shiri that the Memoria location is where the sick, ignorant and knowledge seekers often visit there. A seasoned one eyed martial artist nicknamed: ‘The Angel Of Knowledge and Memories’. He is said to have immortality, four wings, white hair and garments. All of his senses and body have been enhanced through powers of purity, light, and tracking.

Malice directed her to the middle of Oracle Beach where she must travel the, ‘The Gods’ Stairway’. In the middle is a divided ocean formed with pure light steps across the pathway between the waters. Shiri’s heritage in being half a goddess made it possible to see this. Mortals would only see a still ocean. Shiri gave her gratitude before taking the steps in flight. It was similar to the Bridge Of The Ancients’ magical source.

Going forward, the surroundings were blurred out at first and soon it became the color of skies. At the end of the stairway, the place looked as if she was walking on the white clouds. At the entrance of the next room, an elder sat in the way. He seems to be meditating. His eyes were closed as he floated over the cloud like ground. Shiri was confused at the man hovering over the floor. She chose to talk first, “I am looking for an angel of knowledge. Are you him?” He introduced his name as ‘Sage’. “My parents have deserted me for this planet for years. My father married a goddess before my mother went to Earth. Have you seen the Nakamuras?”

Sage told her that he had met them on separate occasions. He explained that her mother is a part of the Gods and Goddesses of Arcadia where it is nicknamed, “Kingdom Of Heaven, The Promised Land, Kingdom City Of God”. She was on her way here but the goddess of Darkness and Shadow stopped her and captured her in an hourglass timer. She kept her there until her husband went to fight for the Air Goddess back to safety. It was a relief for Shiri but he continued. He explained that her mother had been in the timer and needed to break it before the sand’s time ran out. At the end, she would become a human if her escape is unsuccessful. The glass of the hourglass was levitating at the northern part of Memoria. Sage would protect her sandy prison from any harm.

Shiri used her air power to take flight onto higher ground. Above the cloudy floor, she found another cloud platform. A temple was what she traveled to. The hourglass of sand was found but her mother’s time was halfway left. Without hesitation, Shiri’s strength was pushed to break and penetrate the glass. The glass broke and the power effects against the blue haired goddess were negated. She was targeted to be killed by the airbone’s hazardous effects to make it look like she wasn’t murdered. However, she wanted to leave Shiri out of the dangers here on Neira. Shiri refused to turn away from her. The blue haired goddess Maeko, informed her that the deities would have a discussion about Mari becoming exiled to a highly guarded prison or turned into a mortal to receive the death penalty. It was to be had if she endangers the natives and all that is connected with them.

She would go to face the Gods in Arcadia while Shiri departed and made it back to Sage. When she came to look at him, Sage’s eyes were open. He had no irises; only a pearly white surface on his good left eye. “Have you received what you were after, child?”
She mentioned that one of her parents was trapped but never told her about the memories that lie within this cloudy world. She asked about it. Regarding Shiri’s father, she was given another choice by Sage: “Do you want knowledge or memories? To live in the present or to live in the past? What is your answer?” Her reply to him was to show her the memories between her parents on Neira.
Sage nodded his head, indifferent about this. “As you wish. Just know that you and Malice are the same coin compared to her mother.”

Shiri was shown three memories. 1) When Mari first met Maeko within Arcadia. Both had a rivalry since Mari never liked the ’Ms. Goody Two Shoes’ demeanor and wanted to save planets instead of destroying them. It was obvious to Maeko that Mari wanted power and hated every mortal belief her fellow goddess believed in.
2) In the village she lived in, Maeko has an empath’s connection to Mari. Robbing Mari’s powers temporarily through being an Empath, she recalled Mari spent her time conquering the Southern lands of Neira in search of a mythical Empath. According to legend, there is a ‘Guardian Of Time’ who wields a long Scythe that is similar to the Reapers who appear before or during deaths. The Reapers collect souls to bring to Arcadia to prove their worth outside the ‘Sanctum Gates’. The Guardian Of Time protects issues between the timelines in history. The person behaves as a GateKeeper in Memoria. It would be their duties to stop loops of activity that could change the results of eras. The Scythe that controls such a chaotic ability belongs to an immortal and picks its pure wielder to heal or destroy. It was called, “Infinite”. Maeko was the next in line to the weapon due to her bloodline.
3) Kenji went to Neira to find Maeko, to help her against the dangers to her planet. At one point, he met Malice’s father and led him to Xeres before the apocalypse era occurred in the city. When Kenji left, Mari was set to be imprisoned in the Prism Desert over breaking laws of the nearest kingdoms. By then, she had followed him and made Kenji become captive in a realm of darkness. It kept him stranded from the outside world and he was nearly killed by the depths of dark bodies of water that could drain his enhanced senses. After Mari became imprisoned, Sage rescued Kenji from the shadowy mass of water that behaved as an ocean. Sage used his light power to pave his way to the fallen shinobi. Cutting down the darkness that was close to turning Kenji into a mortal, Sage kept him in Memoria as shelter to recover back to immortality.

Sage stared at Shiri with his good left eye while the right wore an eyepatch. Being one eyed, it caused Shiri to flinch due to him having no irises. “Have all of this given you the answers that you seek?” Shiri nodded. “If you knew all of this, what made you delay everything I wanted to know?” Sage mentioned that she wouldn’t have learned anything. Given all the answers all at once wouldn’t have made you choose wisely.” With a final question, Sage asked. “Do you believe you are ready to meet your father?”
“No. He is in your debt now. I know what I need to hear. Isn’t Malice in danger against her own mother? Does she remember her?”
“Malice does not know a thing about her parents. If she did, she would be killed by her since Mari fought Malice’s father to the death. And he was the only one who saw the good in her still. Something changed before she killed her parents.”

Shiri worried about this, knowing that Malice’s mother was the issue that separated her parents. She left Memoria to go across the “Gods’ Stairway”. It left her with two options: To discover the ‘Infinite Scythe’ or return to Xeres to warn Malice about Mari who is her biological mother. Sage was an advanced level of Telepathy, even Shiri. However, she wanted to know if Malice is one too. It would explain his power over injecting Knowledge, Memories, Psychic Powers from telepathy to a wide collection of the mind. It would give her Telekinesis overtime and be immune to Telepathy after resistance.
