  • Brief History

    Anoite was born Daliah Nur Gabris, sole heiress to the Gabris Trading Company in Kaisura. She was much to tenderhearted for the cruelty of the current state of business, a style that had been perfected over generations of utterly detached aristocrats. Anoite was to be the 7th generation to take over the business, but instead of working to learn it and change it to something better, she simply ran. She stole a very large portion of gold, though nothing in comparison to the grand wealth of her Great House's overall worth. That gold was spread amongst the citizens over the next 10 years of her life. She wandered from town to town with a new name and a pampering mentality. She had been used, taken advantage of, stolen from, and left after her use was dried up or they had to go back to their real life.

    Such a life left her at the hands of the euphoric opium, her addiction seeping through every facet of her being. Alcohol helps ease the in between, hemp or other gentle herbs tempered the withdraws that seemed to be ready to rear up at anytime. Gentle, kindhearted, and sentimental attitudes are hardly seen from the seemingly consistently cranky and quiet woman. A life of giving left her alone and addicted as she tries to slowly put back the pieces of her true self. Which is how she ended up settling in The Golden Tether. It's cushy life style relaxed her and the views on slavery intrigued her. She's met slaves who believe their service honorable or show extreme love for heir owners, which has made her start to consider that the slave trade wasn't all about beating, starving, and using. Could she take over the family business after all?
