No one knows what to think of him, the enigmatic man behind that aloof facade of his. His words are blunt, harsh, even vulgar, and yet there's a compelling pull towards him. It would almost make him charming if it weren’t for the blood that stains his hands. The barrier that guards whatever lies beneath that stoic surface is near impenetrable. Why, then, does his cold and dissonant face seem to melt whenever she's around?
Lee Hyun-seung, later renamed Lucian Castellano, was born and raised in a small village in South Korea, alongside his younger brother. They lived a poor life, seeing as their mother was single and had to take several jobs in order to put food on the table for the three of them. Where the boys' father had gone to, no one knew and Hyun-seung quickly learnt not to ask questions about him. When Hyun-seung was 11 years old, he was recruited to be a part of the notorious mafia gang in the States, run by the Castellano Family. This happened right after a particular disastrous episode in broad daylight where some of the mafia's associates wanted to test their new recruits. Hyun-seung and his brother had been left to themselves for a while as their mother had worked herself to death. So they went with the men, thinking only of the promised food and roof over their heads if they went willingly. Hyun-seung was the first to realize what a bad idea it was, but it was already too late; one of the mafia's associates came back with a restrained man and another had forced a gun into his younger brother's hand by the time Hyun-seung realized what was going on. The test, they had to pass, was more horrifying than what he'd imagined. In order to pass, one of them had to shoot the restrained man. Hyun-seung didn't want his brother's hands stained by blood, so he didn't think twice before he grabbed the gun out of his his hands and shot the man himself. The moment, Hyun-seung fired the gun, his life changed, forcing him to leave his brother and country behind. After that fatal day, he never saw his brother again, believing it was for the better if he went alone, while his brother was left unharmed and unchanged back in their village.
The second Hyun-seung arrived in the States, he was adopted by Don Matteo, the head of the Castellano mafia family, who renamed him Lucian Castellano. The family itself was tightly knit, but that didn’t mean betrayal didn’t run free within the gang. The family trademark for traitors, the normal bouts of punishment for any sort of crime within the gang had all been revealed to him and burned into his memory. There wasn’t any room for error because a single slip up in this world could mean the difference between living and death. Hyun-seung, now Lucian, was therefore pushed towards a training that would last him a lifetime. He was groomed into an incredible marksman, and it was due to his natural hunger for knowledge that he had the high expectations of becoming an outstanding man. He became fluent in three languages other than his native tongue and deadly with a gun, blade and in hand-to-hand combat before he reached puberty.
After a time abroad in his 20s, Lucian was thrust right into the publicity as his adoptive father’s Consigliere and right-hand man – as well as being a candidate for the rank as the next Boss – in the family business, learning about the trade and the gang from the man he most admired. Smart and cunning, Lucian was quick to learn the trade and hone his skills which made him the man he is today. His sharp mind and timing make him a nightmare to work with, but even worse to work against. His gang is his life, and he’s only as loyal to each and every one of his members as they are to him. His temper’s rivals with the devil himself, and when he’s crossed; you can almost be assured that they won’t ever be found. People generally know that when he’s in a mood, stay the hell out of his way. There is in fact a quiet air about Lucian that will keep people away when he is angry. He doesn’t truly want to hurt anyone, but if they push him too far, it could end up disastrous on their part. Keeping him from doing that isn’t hard, really. Just be courteous and polite and he’ll nod, and make small talk. Even still, Lucian's rarely open or honest with most people, and there have always been few people that he actually cares about enough to treat them any differently than the flat sarcasm and endless torment of teasing that he usually throws people’s way. Once he’s under your skin, he’s quite good at staying there, picking away at the most intimate parts of your psyche until you either love him or hate him. He’s always had a certain special talent when it comes to intimidate others with his very own aura. Men like him beg for nothing—not for money, not for attention, and certainly not for forgiveness, though not as far as he is concerned, he’s never truly needed the latter. Call him haughty, call him prideful, call him arrogant, but that’s how he has been groomed.
Full of masculine charm and low-hinged insults, Lucian is hard to read, and no one may ever really know what’s beneath his stoic facade. However, that doesn’t stop women from fawning over him, as he can be quite charming and persuasive whenever he wants to be, yet he can also turn cold and ruthless just as quickly. He's one of the types that knows he is good looking and therefore, he sometimes uses this for his own gain, simply because it can be useful in some situations. He is a skillful manipulator and liar who can manipulate somebody into getting what he wants. Therefore, he is certainly not someone who can be trusted, and whoever meets him should know better than that. However, as invincible as he can seem, Lucian does have his weaknesses; and that are children and fragile women. His birth mother was a fragile woman and he clearly remembers how he used to take care of her when he was younger. However, she died shortly after he turned 11, leaving him alone with his younger brother and so the two boys were left to their own vices for a short while until Lucian got recruited by the Castellano mafia family and his brother taken to the nearest orphanage. While his mother lived, she used to tell Lucian not to treat women poorly because there's a woman behind every succesful man in the end – although that picture was ruined by his latest relationship to a woman who clearly couldn't be described as being fragile. Ever since then he's never had a relationship, thinking that all women are the same as the one he knew back then when he was a smitten fool. His heart is heavy guarded and closed as a fortress and the only reason he's seen with other women are when he needs to seek release, because he is a man after all. Though, Lucian likes to keep people (close to him) at an arm’s length, that saves him from the regret of trusting them in case they double cross or betray him later.

|BLOOD MANIPULATION|Blood manipulation is a specialized sub-skill and a rare variant of water manipulation that allows Lucian to take hold of and manipulate fluids within an organism's body, allowing him to move the person's muscles. This manipulation technique is referred to as the highest level of water manipulation, as well as the darkest, most powerful, and most feared of all manipulation techniques, and it is the only art known to endanger the user's mental state.
Lucian can create, shape and manipulate blood of himself, others or from his surroundings, whether it be from blood-banks, hospitals, or battlefields. However, he cannot use his abilities when the movement of his hands are restricted. Moreover, he require sight for his powers to affect his targets. Anyone too far away, obscured from complete sight or out of their range of vision cannot be influenced.
|WEAPONIZED BODY|Lucian has undergone experimentation to manifest weapons from his body as offense or defense. His body has evolved to adapt to any situation as a living weapon. He can generate and retract blades from his body, which are composed of Adamantium metal. This metal is highly poisonous to metahumans. As side effects of the experiment, Lucian's anger and mental pain will manifest as blades sprouting from his body.
