Aurentos

Aurentos was born in the remote mountain town of Silverside, where his mother Aurenai resided as a local deity. While he grew up within the temple dedicated to his mother and was revered alongside her, he was not spoiled or accustomed to extravagance. Silverside was a quiet town known only for breeding excellent beasts of burden for mountain travel. It was mostly a modest locality. Even the temple of Aurenai was not excessively ornate.
While Aurentos wasn't lavished in the way one might expect of a son of a god, his mother instilled a sense of superiority to him. She wanted him to have a proper demeanor as someone who would become a deity himself someday. While he took his mother's advice seriously, his upbringing among the townfolk created conflict within him. As his age is still very close to that of mortals, he relates to them more than the immortal ideal is mother wants from him. It didn't help that there were equal parts zealous devotees who worshipped him and more grounded folks who treated him the same as their fellow neighbors. Aurentos has grown into a man who keeps mortals at arm's length to play the part of divinity, while silently longing for normal interactions.

• Approximately 3 years ago: Aurentos leaves his mother's domain. Prior to this, he had only explored the mountain region around Silverside and very few settlements near its fringes. His goal is to travel farther lands and perform virtuous acts, growing his knowledge and divine power.
• Approximately a month ago: Aurentos ventures into the domain of another divine dragon Lucenté. He finds the people there greatly in need of his help. He was well aware that he was infringing on the territory of another, but became incensed by the neglect of the denizens there and continued his divine work. When Lucenté caught wind of this, Aurentos was captured and judged by a council of elder divine dragons. Aurentos was afflicted with the Stain of Arrogance. As the sleighted party, Lucenté was allowed to choose how Aurentos was to repent. Lucenté sent him to The Golden Tether to act as a slave to learn humility.
