Jude Is posessed by an evil spirit figurating in the folklore of First Nations based in and around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the United States, as well as the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. While spelling may vary it will always roughly translates to "One who lives alone".

While the circumstances during which Jude contracted this curse were different, the spirit is said to most commonly possess those who practice cannibalism. She will eat you or die trying before giving up her grisly secrets.

Personality

Jude is selfish, cold-blooded, and usually unsentimental; everything a solitary predator needs to be in order to survive. That is the way terrible luck right from the very beginning has molded her over time. It's not really her fault she is what she is... She is awkward and disparaging to strangers in general, humans in particular, so few people really stick around long enough to find out if the poor first impression she usually makes holds true to her character. The only people she would be quick to warm up to are those who truly know her hardships.

If you stick around long enough to figure out the workings of her character and you don't end up dead for one reason or another, you’ll realize that there's more to her than her beastly urges. She does have somewhat redeeming traits that make her a mostly reliable friend or ally- she just needs the right person to tease that elusive sliver of human decency out of her.
