Farrah Lewis

History
Once, not too long ago, there was a little girl without a home and without family. In time she would learn that this was apparently the result of a teenage mother unable to bear the burden of motherhood. From cradle to the foster system, the girl, named Farrah, found herself transitioning through different homes for a few years until at the age of seven she was placed in the care of another set of foster parents. This time, her foster home became her permanent home, her foster parents her adopted parents, and Farrah wound up with a number of brothers and sisters. Like many changeling children, there was an oddness to Farrah, an eccentricity that came with dreamy-eyed stares and an uncanny degree of creativity and cleverness. For all that she occasionally baffled them, her parents' love for their daughter never wavered. After all, one need not entirely understand their child's mind or goals to love them. Sometimes even a vague sense and good intentions is enough.

When Farrah's chrysalis came upon her, it was as if all the pieces of some grand puzzle had been put together. She was Farrah, but she was also the eshu Yemai, one who had seen the seemingly noble sidhe abandon their charges for the safety of Arcadia. Whilst the rest of them had to fend for themselves against the tide of banality that swept the world. Yemai had been no more than a child, and many lifetimes later, she was a child yet again. Remembering the old travels, the old adventures, the old tales, and the old joys and hurts as well. While Farrah might not be an Unseelie woman, she is nonetheless one who wishes for change within the structure of changeling hierarchy. The sidhe are detached, distant, and have grown complacent in their position as the "leaders". Change must happen, even if some degree of conditions must be kept, and the sidhe need to realize that the other kiths are forces to be reckoned with, and that their lives are not to thrown away lightly.

Like many eshu, Farrah has made a life of travelling and going on grand adventures. Going wherever "being where one needs to be" has taken her. For the past year, however, such a birthright has caused her to constantly boomerang back to the city of Los Angeles. Something requires her to remain in the city, no matter where she would like to be instead. She has yet to deduce for what reason she is "needed" in LA, though to be honest, she hardly has a choice in the matter. Given how the situation for all supernaturals seems to gathering momentum, however, it seems she may very well find out very soon.
