Julian Wilde is this generation's American heart-throb and childhood crush. Lovingly referred to as Jules, this actor and singer song writer is a household name that millions have grown up with. They grew up seeing him on their screens and listening to his music, watched as he matured and followed every bit of his social media. Jules is classically handsome, and comes across as warm and inviting with frequent smiles. They stand right at 6 feet tall, with a fit build that they don't really spend any time on. There have been a couple of movies or shows that they've had to get into a strict fitness regimen and the results were hot as hell, but they don't care enough to maintain beyond their baseline unless they're told to. Their features are that of the often standard masculine type, including a strong jaw and chin, pronounced angles, and dimples with the perfect white smile. Their style isn't usually far off of the standard masculine, either, though that is mostly due to their publicity the and the strict rules on image they impose. Even without sun, Jules sports a warm complexion that has sparked debates about heritage that Jules hasn't ever offered an answer to. The most popular opinion with the public is that there's a strong italian impression in Jules.
When not dressing for appearance, they're often found in whatever is most comfortable. That typically includes hoodies and sweatpants, or joggers and a t-shirt. Though they do dance along the line of irritating the team that manages them, and keeps their nails painted. Not to mention chaotic additions of jewelry that sometimes pop up. Just like everything else about them, Jules' personality has two forms. The first is the one that is presented to the world, and the other is for quiet time in trusted spaces. This wasn't something that had to be formulated for their success, though, this is how Jules has been since as long as they can remember. They're always smiles, pleasantries, quick friendships and laughter. They were always the one that could walk into the room and make a place for themself, and get just about anyone to love them. It has also always just been a face they put on, an automatic defense from the world in the form of a façade.
That said, though, Jules does make friends easily, and they find it easy to manipulate people. It isn't necessarily done on purpose, but it is a talent of theirs that comes through naturally if it suits them or a situation. 〚D h a m p i r〛The Dhampir/Dhampyr are creatures that are the result of a union between a vampire and a human. This union was usually between male vampires and female mortal humans. In Jules' case, their mother wasn't just any ol' fragile human, but was a rather powerful witch. They have never been able to learn much about the specifics of what type of witch their mother was, but it has certainly seemed to smooth over some of the typically weak human genetics in this type of union.

From the day he was born, Jules has suffered a curse, and a very powerful one at that. He still has no idea who did it, why they did it, or if he could break it, but understands the basics of its impact on him. There is a powerful, intoxicating influence of desire that holds onto Jules, and it affects those around him. Its potency tends to vary significantly, and there is no apparent difference in how it impacts weaker individuals or stronger individuals. It can and has driven people to madness in their desire for Jules. To have him, to fuck him, to love him, to just breath his air. He has had countless assaults, an impressive number of stalkers, and extremely unique interactions. On lower levels, some people are just intensely fascinated with him, infatuated, huge fans of his when they might not have been. Anywhere on the spectrum is in the realm of possibility. And those around him regularly have it the hardest, as it only seems to grow more intense for some with constant close contact.
Aside from the very obvious abuse and other implications, this has impacted his life in a number of ways. On a personal level, he's never really 100% sure if his friends or those close to him actually care about him, or if they're following the influence of that curse. He keeps friends at a distance because of this, though he has been able to get close to some. In his professional life it leads to a very high turnover rate in his crew, security, and anyone who works with him. It doesn't do him any good if his security is too focused on wanting him to actually guard him, and same goes for his crew, his publicity team, managers, or anyone. On the other hand, it made his fame significantly easier to grow. Besides, it's unlikely he would have been given these opportunities without it, too. You better bet he fucked the agent that first 'discovered' him. It's no surprise that he has such a cult-like following, the magic in the curse he carries is intensely pervasive.

Julian's story is a rag's-to-riches masterpiece. He was born in a shithole of a house in Compton, CA, to a mother that spent most of her time strung out on something. It's a wonder that he survived, but in his infancy, she was more attentive than what Jules remembers. She resented his existence, and never let him think she held much of anything but contempt for him. At best she was indifferent, at worst she was violent. Though, Jules would take her abuse any day over the abuse he got from the boyfriends that would come around. Sometimes it would just be for a few nights, sometimes they would move in for months, even over a year. But because of the curse that Jules carried, their abuse took his trauma to new lows. As an adult in-the-know about his curse now, the abuse makes more sense, but it doesn't help anything to know.
His parents weren't together, at least not married or living together by the time he has any memories to speak of. But his father did come around from time to time. Jules didn't understand their relationship, it seemed like more yelling than love. There were, though, a few brief snippets of happy moments with his father he could remember. They were tainted by more subtle impacts of his curse that he could see now in hindsight, and he wished he didn't know sometimes for that reason. Somewhere out there, he assumes his father is living his life, but he hasn't heard from him or seen him since he was about 11 years old.
As a kid, he cared for himself however he could in the unstable household. He stole, he found friends, or 'friends' in the neighborhood for food. There were gangs in the area that offered him jobs like keeping an eye out or running packages, giving him a little extra money. Sometimes there would be food in the house, and he had to learn how to use it when it was. He also often wasn't home, especially when his mother was keeping a boyfriend around. If he could manage it, he'd find a couch, or just sleep outside somewhere. That couldn't always be the answer, but it was all he could really do. Around the age of 12, he finally ran away for good.
Using busses and doing a little hitchhiking, Jules made it out of California, heading north to nowhere in particular. Homelessness suited him fine, he adapted to it quickly, and learned fast from his background. Stealing came easy, especially as he'd learned to use the attraction people naturally had towards him. That same learning curve lead to a few turned tricks, but for the most part he kept to stealing, selling stolen goods, and scraping by. Jules did manage to get himself into a public school that wasn't particularly picky about paperwork. While it might not seem like school would be at the top of his priority list, he'd never disliked school. Some teachers? Oh yeah. But for the most part, school served as a reprieve as a child. His personality grew, so quickly adjusting to using the influence he had on people to his own benefit. Even without that, he did great in his classes.
Hobbies had always included music, but around 14 he'd started on social media after he'd stolen a nice phone and got bored. Very quickly, between his looks, charisma, his attraction and draw, and his legitimate talent, he gained a following. On YouTube, the videos of him singing quickly became popular, and he had a lot of fun with it. At 16, he was singing at a park with some friends, the lot of them just hanging out and making videos, when he was approached by an agent. Obviously very skeptical from his already prevalent history of difficult interactions with people, he didn't believe it at first.
Everything happened quickly once he'd googled the guy and talked to him some more. Jules had stars in his eyes, and his life drastically changed from low-key living at the school to fame. Real fame. The validation, the love, the thrill, all of it had him hooked immediately. Jules already loved making music, and acting came easy to him. He made his own music, kept active with creators on youtube when he could, sold songs he made that weren't right for his brand (many top songs have been written by him), and just sank into the whole life with everything he had.

It's no surprise, with their background, that Jules developed dependency on mind altering substances. While they did try to avoid it after growing up with an addict mother, it offered them so much relief. It isn't something their managers try to keep them from doing, so long as it doesn't interfere (too much) with work, it's something that isn't unusual in the world of celebrities and they had to pick their battles with Jules. They're living the lifestyle that people dream of, and taking full advantage of all the perks. There's never a lack of parties, there's never a lack of opportunity for experiences, and Jules tries to make sure there's seldom a dull moment. They don't like to have idle hands, they like to be busy and living it up if they aren't swamped in work. Otherwise they tend to think too much, and they would just rather not.

- At 17, he met with a witch to try and figure out why people were so insane about him and drawn to him. She was only able to tell that there was a powerful force of magic causing it, and that it had malicious intent like a curse. But that was all she was able to figure out.
- 100% of his management team are either supernatural themselves, or in the know and well educated. They all know about the curse and do their best to manage it with scheduled changing of staff to help reduce problems.
- Many aspects of his life are dictated by contracts, publicity, and other restrictions to make sure he 'stays on brand.'
