    Apparent deathlessness. Leonard has been crushed under rubble, sliced in half, and received multiple bullet wounds to both his head and chest. As far as he knows, he hasn't died yet -- not permanently, at least. At least he ages normally, as he and his twin sister look just about the same age!

    Pain Resistance
    Len feels pain, he just feels it less keenly than most others. Waking up under the rubble of a fallen building isn't as painful as it is claustrophobic. Bullet wounds might knock the air out of him, but they won't stop him from moving. Inevitably, taking enough damage will knock even Len out -- but even this will only slow him down.

    Regenerative healing
    Small cuts heal in seconds, but entire limbs can take hours to grow back. Regeneration can be an unpleasant process even when it isn't painful; it's like experiencing years of growing pains in a matter of a few hours. Healing broken, twisted bones is often a lousy experience even for those who only witness it. If knocked unconscious, Len's body can play dead for months, and only starts to heal once the environment is considered to be "safe." It's like it has a mind of its own, able to sense the world even when Len's not around. Who knows what that's about.

  • So What Does He Look Like?

    Leonard is a man who tries to take very good care of himself - or at least attempts to make it easier. His body is wide and muscular from years of lifting, his face is clean-shaven and his brown hair is cut short to save himself the trouble of brushing it. His eyes are the loveliest shade of cornflower blue. Leonard prefers simple, comfortable clothes, and tries his best not to stand out. Many of them are worn thin, though Len avoids wearing anything with actual holes in them. His favorite jacket is made of dark blue denim, with three pockets and a zipper. It's lined with faux sheep-skin.

    Despite all efforts, the first thing most people notice about him is the burns. Covering the entire left half of his face and the side of his skull, it spreads far below the belt. His left ear is little more than a nub of flesh and cartilage. The pink, badly patched-up skin is hard to look at - or depending on the person, hard to look away from.
