Ellis Harvey was born into a well-to-do family, and has no real reason to be so… spiteful. But he is.
At the young age of 22, Ellis became an erotic dancer at a club named ‘Flicker’ and occasionally will sell himself for money as a prostitute, under the stage name Dionysus, after the false god of wine, fertility, and religious ecstasy. He moved out as soon as he was eighteen, taking as much money as he could with him and moving into a nice penthouse in the middle of a large city, far FAR away from his family.
He isn’t necessarily antisocial, he just doesn’t deal with situations well, and the death of his junior-year boyfriend threw him into a disastrous state.
He cut ties with everyone he knew in his pre-adulthood life, moving on to a new life, filled with alcohol, parties, sex, dancing, pain, and God knows what else.
Ellis doesn’t love himself, yet he craves true love. He wants someone that will show him how to love himself, instead of just using him for his body. Despite his profession, Ellis is loyal once he’s with someone, and wholly dependent on them, seeking their counsel on everything, from clothing to money to whether or not he should quit his job.
This is probably his parents’ fault, but he doesn’t blame them simply because he doesn’t even notice it about himself. He’s too wrapped up in absorbing the love to care much about his own habits.
Once someone gets close to him, his angry, harsh exterior disappears and he reveals himself to be a hurt, loving individual who is still at a loss over the death of his first love. He has a huge heart, and no idea what to do with it.
