    By trade, Shale is a gem cutter. In reality, the young dragon mends and shapes gemstones from rocks and coal for a quick profit. Having the ability to manipulate earth and stone, Shale is capable of gathering valuable stones and ore from the surrounding land. These abilities bring with them a life of wealth and comfort. Often times, the dragon is employed for the creation of his magical gemstones for their value in enchanting and the creation of magical items. Though greedy, Shale's prices tend to vary depending on mood and necessity.

    Arts from the Lore of Storms and the Lore of Earth are both available to Shale. The dragon's mixed blood allows for manipulation of ground and sky alike. Though this mixture of blood comes at a price, a weakening of abilities. A small tremor here, a sudden storm there or a random rain shower are mostly harmless, but serve as amusement to the young dragon. The more powerful a spell, the more tiring.

    While lacking the usual durability of a western dragon or the fierce magical and mystical arts of an eastern, Shale is blessed with rapid regeneration. The ability to mend wounds and recover from injuries most would find alarming. As a bonus, longevity and slowed aging are included with this wonderful boon. while recovery of limbs is a positive, Shale is hesitant to try and regrow his head or his heart, and would rather keep those right where they belong.
