Wrathful Maiden

Sayaka comes from the bloodline of shrine maidens who’s duties were to keep balance between humans and youkai. For centuries family women were trained in the art of combat, Sayaka wasn’t exception. From a young age Sayaka was trained by her Grandmother - Setsuna, Sayaka learned how to wield a tanto, how to tell which spirit was evil and which one was just mischievous. Sayka didn’t notice how time flew by, before she could realize she was a fully grown woman taking care of the shrine.


Sayaka was surprised that she had to deal more with people than actually evil spirits, not like youkai, people were unpredictable and cruel. The war between two clans spiraled out of control, dragging innocents into the battlefield. Pestilence followed the war, the food was scarce and common folk started to gather in groups becoming roaming bandits. Sayaka’s shrine wasn’t exception; they invaded her shrine, taking everything they found valuable before trashing the place.


They tortured the priestess before brutally murdering young woman. With time passing the scars of war left were healed, people went back to normal life, and the shrine stood abandoned and forgotten, claimed by the time. But Sayaka never left, her soul was bitter, she wanted vengeance, she wanted to make those who killed her pay. People who dared approach the shrine could feel dread and scent of blood in the air, those who dared venture further never left the shrine. Their bodies were found scattered across the woods. People quickly learned to avoid it by leaving the cursed shrine alone.

User can manipulate the supernatural is that which is not subject to the laws of nature, or more figuratively, that which is said to exist above and beyond nature.

The supernatural is whimsically applied through divine powers, magical powers and/or super-science powers users. The user of this power possesses capabilities that surpass or defy the laws of physics. The ability itself is a metaphor for things that cannot be explained.
