Samuel's life is a simple one, for the most part.

He grew up in an orphanage for a while, he never knew his parents. He was picked on for his diminutive size, he was always shorter than everyone, even most of the girls. Little boy, the other children called him, mimicking the caretakers. But... Sam was smart. He had wit, and he was just as quick on his feet as he was quick to think and act. But he didn't used this talent to disarm situations... instead using it to confuse his opponents or disorient them or turn them on each other in order to give HIM the advantage.

Oh, you thought he grew up easy because of the first sentence? Absolutely not. His life is just simpler than some. He grew up fighting.

In school, when he grew old enough to attend, he didn't change his ways much. He was often disciplined for fighting, skinning his knuckles on the teeth of people who looked down on him and tried to push him around. He became an angry little firecracker, blowing up at the first sign of trouble and showing no hesitation or remorse for it, regardless of how much he was reprimanded. It built him a reputation as someone not to mess with unless you had a group, as he was always alone. He lost those fights, but not without taking at least a few with him.

Then came his high school years. And boy were those some years. He got into a good school at the recommendations of his teachers due to his intelligence and proven intellect. But... once a firecracker, always a firecracker. His reputation didn't exist here, but... he was older. He didn't live with the orphanage anymore and was already working and living by himself. But he wasn't the only one who had grown older... so had everyone else, and he was still smaller than most of them. So he took to martial arts and workouts on top of his studies and his job. And it was a good thing he did.... in a way.

His first fight in high school was bloody, and pretty brutal. Typical cliche scenario you could think of. Bully wanted money, and 'Little Boy' Sam didn't want to give it. At least it wasn't Sam who threw the first punch, but he sure as hell threw the last one. That earned him disciplinary action. But on his return, his fists saw more use still, not only for his sake, but for the sake of other victims of bullying when he saw it. He knew how it was, and he didn't like it, so why should he let it slide? So he never did.

However, it was early into his high school days that he found a passion for gaming. Particularly for the new (and expensive) form of it. VR gaming. Not simply a headset, but an actual bed-sized pod that could be laid in and games could be played in one's sleep. It was a revolutionary technology and it caught Samuel's interest completely. He wanted involved in this kind of tech. His studies would have to improve for it, but that was no trouble.

In the meantime however... in select games, a new player by the name of 'Glass' has appeared. A fast character who packs a lot of punch, and was responsible for whole new solo records in boss fights and dungeon runs... and, somehow, even raid battles. A new, legendary star was rising in the VR World.
