    Overview
    Frankie was born to a poor family. His mother died in childbirth while giving birth to him, and his father wasn't great but bless him he fucking tried. He died when Frankie was six from an unknown illness (Frankie was too young to remember the name of it but obviously I still have to make it up eventually whoops), and since they were poor, Frankie ran away because he didn't want new parents, he wanted his dada. Frankie wandered for a solid few years, surviving off of stolen food and the kindness of random strangers who either gave him food or money, but ultimately were never able to catch him or effectively lure him into an area to either kidnap him or try to keep him there until child services could come "rescue" him.

    When he was 9, he was sort of half-adopted by an old woman who cared for him almost as if he were her own. She saw him in her trash once or smth and put food out for him and he started taking it. She eventually invited him in and he began adjusting to life in a home. She taught him to read and write, to cook his own food, and how to count money, but after a year with her she died of a heart attack, leaving him to have to run around for a while. He spent another 3 years on the run, before being chased down and cornered by a man who was very angry at him for stealing food. The man was probably going to do terrible things to him, but was stopped early by a man who was registered as a licensed guardian for the area and paid the guy for the sausages Frankie stole on the spot and basically shoo'd him away.

    This is where Frankie and Jasper meet. The guardian who rescued Frankie was part of the graduate team that rescued Jasper from the trafficking ring. They were best friends, and Frankie loves her like a sister. Frankie also got incredibly attached to the guardian, who unfortunately was killed in the field 3 years later. Because of all this, Frankie is extremely nervous about getting attached to people because they all get taken away far too soon.
