γJournal Entry 320. "Surprising reactions."γ
I had taken up residence in a nearby village for some passing winter months, nearby ruins attracting my attention adequately to stick around. While the people were not keen at first, they did not stop my staying as I provided a source of medical attention to the injured for several months. I was brought food, water, and housing for my lab in exchange for these services. It was a simple equal trade and gave me plenty of time to do the necessary research along the ruins. Apparently, to my surprise, I had released some cryptic creature under a miscalculation: an aforementioned seven-foot stoned, six arms..thing came at me ready to likely tear me into two. I was not equipped to deal with the specimen, so I sprinted to my lab in preparation for departure. Under the guise then, the villagers demanded I defend them from what I had released, even though it was never made in the verbal agreement of my stay. I was not to protect, only fix injuries. I promised to come back in two days' time to help all damaged during the fight. Even offering the labor behind disposing of the slaughtered threat. I left shortly after with many enraged and terrified. Strange. Accurate to my word enough, I returned, only to find that the same village was slaughtered instead. Two things were learned from this, do not leave the slaying and research of creatures in other incapable hands. Secondly, I should be more careful about touching random magical objects in ruins. xxx

γTonics & Toxinsγ
Tera's truest magic potency comes from potion creation. While not outright casting magical spells, they have found a way to incarnate the energy through science and their internalized Alchemist Stone to concoct potions of remarkable capability. It's very likely that if Tera is walking around equipped with the unnecessarily large bottles at belt level, a battle will be beginning soon. The strength of each tincture depends on the sources of magic available and materials. While the potions themselves are extremely powerful, it's important to note that it takes time and energy to prepare. Not something instantaneous.

γThe Crafting Componentsγ
Along with Tera's small walking potion factory, they also carry a reasonable amount of raw ingredients and herbalist dried plants. Much of the ingredients held serve purely for either prepping a potion in the last second or dealing with common ailments on a rudimentary level. Tera is not keen on wasting full-blown magical potions and injections on a minor cold or wound, a waste of limited resources, they'd argue. It's often that you will find Tera wandering off in foreign or rarer locations to gather something that'd typically be hard to find. Or if not on the herbal side of things, pressuring traveling companions to detour towards the presumed sighting of a nearby magical creature to take down and harvest.
