Ilu'Koddi is a strange sight for anyone unaware of the sea floor dwelling deepkin. Monster hunters or enthusiasts might recognize her as a scylla, and they would be mostly correct. Ilu'Koddi came from a small community of deepkin cuttlefish scylla, evident from her smaller stature, short tentacles with a pair of somewhat longer ones at her sides and a visible lack of suction cups on her limbs. She has a potentially strong but unperfected ability to alter her skin pigment and texture, and the bioluminescence on the underside of her "hair" and dotted over her body is evident of her kind being from the deep ocean. Her humanoid upper body appears to lack any rigid structure, allowing for incredible flexibility but not much might beyond her muscular tentacles. Counting each of her legs and arms, her ninth and tenth tentacles are located just above and behind her "hips," and she often keeps these ones out of the way by warping around her front like a fleshy belt.

Unfortunately for this traveler from the deep, Ilu'Koddi is likely the among least socially adept of her kind, even in her own community, but especially outside and on land. However, her strong wanderlust and near obsession with hunting dangerous beasts has driven her to leave the safety of her home and wriggle her way over land to find new prey. Loathe to seek it out, she does acknowledge that she needs help to hunt anything far from shore. Counterintuitive as it is to her goals, her first reaction to others is to avoid detection, and getting past that she has trouble speaking to anyone actually capable of speech. Catching her talking to clueless animals or even more benign beasts is not uncommon, but she would rather squeeze herself into a cupboard or storm sewer to hide than approach a new person. If anyone manages to gain and keep her trust, she will turn out to be a little bit clingy, both literally and emotionally, but she far more useful than a heap of wet tentacles, even out of the water.

Like many more "monstrous" peoples, deepkin, view others as different, sometimes lesser than themselves. Ilu'Koddi does not see any other race as beneath her, but she doesn't offer much respect to anyone that has not offered her a sign of respect that she recognizes. Her ways can come across as strange, cold, or pushy, but she rarely means harm. Additionally she has more love for nature than any person. Damaging the environment, especially water will lead to her wrath and a harsh punishment that she might deem fair.

Her common is understandable, if not a bit broken, but she can still struggle to read and write. On the other tentacle-hand her intuition and her know how out in the wild is superb.
