Xûr

Xûr first appeared in the Land after the end of the Great Ahamkara Hunt. The past Ambassador speculated that The Nine had previously made use of the Ahamkara for their paracausal abilities, and had sent Xûr to interact with the Folk of the land for similar reasons.

Xûr once was confronted by the Leader Oren, who was sent by A Queen of the reef to investigate the Nine's role in the disappearance of her past legend-keeper. Xûr asks Oren to "forgive them",
as she crushes his windpipe and interrogates him. After being freed from Oren's grasp, he reaches into his robes to reveal a silver jar—misinterpreting Xûr's movements as a sign of hostility, Oren struck the Agent in the chest with her war hammer, sending him flying and breaking his spine. Though Xûr survived, he acquired a permanent slightly hunched posture due to his injury.

It is possible that Xûr, along with The Nine, are responsible for releasing Someone from his prison after he was given to them.
