"Nothing brings me more joy than the idiosyncrasies of what lays beneath the veil. I describe it as the same feeling of someone that flips the page to a book or unearths a forgotten treasure. While both of those things are so compelling, I find what brings me the greatest joy is what goes misconceived or forgotten about. We all know our animals... dogs, cats, cows, and chickens. But no one wants to know about the Dragons, Displacer Beasts, Hippogriffs, and everything else mystical. It's because people are scared and don't comprehend, but I, Irene Ambrose Sage, pledge my soul to these creatures. I vow under a self-constructed oath that these entities can always rely on my assistance even under the direst circumstances. May this first journal entry be my written proclamation to whatever watches and sees that I will defend against the crimes of my own people.

Most would depict Irene as an adventurous and outgoing personality with a passion that can match most. Her drive for not only learning about every living creature, mythical or not, has made her pool of knowledge on the subject even keel to most in the biological field. It's not uncommon finding her exploring the territory haphazardly of a perilous but unique specimen merely so she can have the opportunity to witness what she'd call beauty. Frequently even under the most dangerous of situations finding the creature befriended with her instead of making its point to scare her away. The unnatural ability for Irene to befriend most creatures, beasts, and everything inbetween only is followed twofold by her occasional struggle to get along with people of her own kind. While still remaining friendly and pleasant, conflicts of interest can arise, which brings the ire of her beliefs down upon the poor victim's shoulders.
