Crawford. What a fancy surname for such an.. interesting person. Growing up in a family with money and success, what could possibly go wrong? His dad is a classic example of a shitty father, just caring about his work and his son growing up successful, not about his happiness. His mother is unemployed, but lucky for her his father doesn't care, ‘cause she’s pretty. Spending all the money on botox and surgeries for her body.
All along it was meant for Dylan to carry the name Crawford to the next generation, he was the only child and therefore all the attention was on him. There was always a huge pressure on him, he didn’t want to be a politician and what if he couldn’t give them any grandchildren? He hated all the attention and he felt guilty every time he couldn't live up to his fathers expectations.
Anyways, of course this golden boy went to the most expensive schools ever and he did his homework without complaining. He never liked that life, but he was honestly too afraid that he would let his father down if he told him no. He tried everything to live with it and maybe the interest would eventually come, as he would grow older.
It was all about school and his grades when he was a student. At least until he met her. The most beautiful face he’s ever seen and a smile that could fix any bad day. He fell in love instantly. Sure, he had had girlfriends before, but it had never been like that.
His parents were never really into their whole romance. They said Dylan lost focus on what's important and that she was just for now. ‘’You’re too young to know what true love is’’ they told him. But he didn’t care, he loved her and to prove it, he proposed to her. It made his father very angry. Actually, he was so angry that he kicked his own son out of the house. Gave him money to rent an apartment. He was 18 back then and he hasn't seen them since.
After the wedding it felt like nothing could come between the happy couple. They were together for years. He got her pregnant, one happy family. Until the tragedy hit; his love falling down the stairs and not surviving. And even though he was out of the family, the rumors still ran along town. When he walked down the street, people would go to the other side of the road; people were scared of him. And then he finally realized, people think he did it. ''It's always the husband''.
At first he didn't care; he know he didn't do it, and that was good enough for him. It wasn't until his friends stopped being friends with him and he got fired, that he realized the rumors would never go away. He got angry. He was guilty of a crime he didn't even commit - and no one believed him.
Never being able to love again, everybody has one soulmate in a lifetime and he’s already had his. He used to work as an electrician, but after he got fired, he got a job as a securityguard. His father would hate his position, but that doesn’t mean a thing anymore. On the weekends he is often around town, drinking beer or something stronger to make the night go by. What else is there to do?
Dylan is very reserved, it’s not many people he lets in, so if he does let you in, you must be something special to him. He is intelligent, the hard work in school has paid off. He used to be the perfect man, now he is reserved and hard to impress. He knows what people thinks of him. There is no need to fake it. They hate him. He hate most people.
