  • Disclaimer: Alyda Schmidt's origin story is part of an alternative history roleplay in which Germany won World War 2. She was raised with German ideals and while she doesn't feel the same way as most of the residents of her home world, she does have a lot of inner bias that she needs to work through. Due to the nature of her home world, I am currently not comfortable using that world as a playable location or using Alyda's family in the story and would prefer the roleplay takes place in a different world. While topics such as racism, equality and similar struggles may be touched within the story, my portrayal of this character is in no way a glorification of any of those nor is it a romanization of World War 2 and the suffering of its victims. If you are sensitive to the inclusion of these topics, then I do advise you to choose another one of my characters to roleplay with me.

    I hereby want to inform any potential roleplay partner that the views of Alyda's home world and her family do not align with my own world views at all. These are vastly different things. Additionally, my character isn't me and I am not my character. Let's please keep OOC and IC separate.

    "She dropped the blanket a bit, revealing her turtleneck shirt as well as her woollen vest before extending her right hand for her to shake. She'd be forgiving if they chose not to, considering she hadn't showered or cleaned up since she'd ended up here, but her skin appeared surprisingly clean, and her manicure was chipped yet not forgotten.

    Her free hand roamed towards her single braid, something she'd started doing to her hair once she'd joined the rebels and played with the ends of it. She was sure that the braid looked messy and that she didn't appear as put together as she usually would, but she hoped it wasn't a painful sight for them nonetheless."

    Alyda is a slim teenager with straw blonde hair and blue eyes. She is of slightly below average height and is often aware of how she portrays herself and how others will perceive her. While she used to always have two braids in her hair, she now usually wears one. Most of the time she dresses rather in a rather conservative way, and she isn't too comfortable when it comes to showing a lot of skin. Her appearance may change throughout the course of the story depending on who she interacts with and in what kind of communities she ends up. Eventually it may evolve into a more modern style.

  • Personality

    Alyda is a good-natured and friendly young woman. She has a strong desire to help others and to be good to people. Sadly enough this is the complete opposite of how she was raised, and therefor she grew up as a rather reserved teenager who thought twice before she spoke. Luckily, ever since she started to break out of her shell, she has managed to let her real personality shine through. When she is comfortable and feels safe, she is an outgoing, life-loving and optimistic person. However, when she is uncomfortable and feels threatened, she can easily lash out and come across as harsh.

    She is courageous when it comes to defending her friends or standing up for her beliefs but overly so, showing little sign of self-preservation and often throwing caution to the wind. Aside from that, she also has very strong opinions and can be quite judgemental. She isn't always easy to get along with and can sometimes come across as an entitled brat that forgets that the world doesn't revolve around her. Often times, she needs to be reminded of that or at least get a nudge in the right direction.

    Alyda prefers the company of people who are up front and honest with her. In the past, she has had to deal with too many people who pretended to be her friend to take advantage of her and it has hurt her deeply.
