Cameron Hayes

Cameron or Cam had his fair share of hardships throughout his life. He was born out of adultery and as the living, breathing evidence of the despicable act. Thanks to that he did not receive too much love from his biological parents who viewed him as more of a burden than their actual child. Sometimes he was beaten, sometimes they forgot to feed him properly or just couldn't bother to do so, and at other times they didn't even bother to try and act as if he exist at all...

At the age of 10, he lost both of his parents and after that, the boy was forced to grow up in another neglectful, sometimes abusive household with his aunt. His aunt fed him well but being the perfectionist who was always been outshined by his sister (who happened to be Cameron's mother) she grew up to be a perfectionist. All she cared about was results, any kind of them. Grades, behavior, house chores etc. And while she couldn't help, but project her resentment for Cam's mom onto the kid, she had no biological children herself, thus she decided to turn Cameron into the "child of her dreams". So long as Cam brought in results he was treated relatively well, however, any mistakes he made or any results that did not live up to his aunt's expectations brought harsh punishments onto him. From beating to verbal abuse and being locked up...everything was a free game so long it didn't leave a visible mark.

Due to the treatment, Cameron grew up to be a top-of-the-class student, but he performed horribly at any kind of sports, despite being forced to try out multiple of them since a "good boy is not only smart, but athletic s well!" After everything else failed he was sent to "at least work out then...useless brat". Cam developed a very reserved nature and often had trouble interacting with people which earned him some bullying, mostly at elementary school, but he nearly not had it as bad as some of the other kids.

By the time of high school, due to his academic abilities, he developed a sort of co-existing relationship with the "popular kids" who relied on him for school projects and tutoring in exchange for leaving him alone or even protecting him in certain cases. Naturally, that didn't earn him a ticket into the "cool kid caste", but he had a relatively peaceful high school life. At times he even had fun and experienced happiness from time to time. For the first time in his life, Cameron had people interacting with him, girls striking up conversations with him in the classroom or in the corridor, and guys willing to work out with hin the gym. Despite what he thought for most of his life, it seemed like that life and living weren't so bad after all...

The aunt of Cameron lost nothing of her draconic nature but developed a bad health condition due to a terminal illness that slowly, but steadily "ate her away". Just before Cameron's finals, she died leaving the boy all alone in the world. She left behind a hefty amount of inheritance, due to her nature of being a maniacal "money saver" and a house Cam was unwilling to stay in any longer. With his grades and other academic nature extracurricular activities including first places at nationwide exams and academic competitions, Cam had no trouble scoring a scholarship at a good university, that just happened to be on the other side of the country. Cam ended up selling his aunt's house and bought a small apartment close to the sea. This purchase costs the money he received for selling the house and most of his inheritance, but Cameron simply couldn't stand the thought of returning to his aunt's house every summer or after finishing his studies. That's why he ended up buying the small apartment close to the sea despite him going to live at the dormitory once the semester starts...

With that Cameron tried to ready himself for his life at the university as a Biology Major Student with his life filled with both hope and worries. Who knows what or who awaits him and what kind of adventures he might end up with? New friends, possible lovers, the world of part-time jobs...each and all of them awaits him once he crosses the gates of the University...
