Elaheh

The Masoumi family was not considered a rich household, but they were far from bottom class. Elah was one of four children, the only daughter, and it was a great responsibility to represent her family well. From the young age of twelve she was primped and primed and forced to attend social events where she was seen as an object rather than a child. Her beauty gained the family many favors among other households.

At sixteen she was married off to a wealthy nobleman. The first year of marriage was fairly uneventful for the young rabbit. She was a beautiful centerpiece at many social gatherings, her husband taking more interest in his business affairs than his new wife. But unfortunately that luck didn't last long for Elaheh.

The next decade was all but a blur for the lop. Abuse - physical, sexual, mental. Pregnancy. Miscarriage. Beatings. It was a vicious cycle for her and she was certain that she'd never find a way out. But eventually she knew that she'd die if she didn't get away.

During a busy social event, most if not all of the guests were drunk and beyond their rational mental capacities. It was her only change, and Elah ran. And she never looked back. Having been on the run for over a year, she finally found herself far from home on an island unlike any she'd ever seen before.
